I love Stephen Colbert. And I think he was doing his best Matt Lauer
however, I wanted to hear what Amy had to say.

1. Yeah, his impression of Billo was too aggressive.
Imo, this show was poorly done. My already flagging enthusiasm has taken a further hit.

3. Colbert was angry
Colbert was palpably angry. TDS viewers on HuffPo were talking earlier this evening about how they feel Jon Stewart's take on Foleygate "crossed a line" and was "inappropriate for children". I love it personally when Messieurs Stewart and Colbert temporarily forget they are comedians and remember they are human beings, Americans and liberals of great conscience. It makes me feel hope, that others out there feel as passionately about this as I do... which is sometimes excessive!

6. Hi! Thank you!
Thank you for the welcome, Kurovski! I've been a lurker for years now, scared to say anything. This is a warm, smart lib community... I finally got sick of all the trolls at HuffPo. DU is fantastic and I am excited to be here with all you guys. Down with the king!

10. Thanks TK!
I think I'll slide up to the bar with these gallant American ragamuffins and order a tall one.

Bush, GOP, Foley, death of liberty...
metaphorically, it's been a long night.

2. You have to give it to Colbert for staying in role he is really good at it
As for what Amy said she got her biggest point's across! If he was to it any different he would lose credibility and has to stay on balance or he would lose corparate sponsorship for sure.

Got Fascism Yet?

4. I love Amy and I wanted to hear her, too. But, he gave her
a forum. For that alone, he gets points.

I start my day with Amy and it ain't easy, most days. She's great.

15. Gay rights is one of hsher's interests, I went and visited her link.
Your drawing style is sweet, hsher. (do you do the drawing and text?) I very much enjoyed my visit there.

16. Wow, thank you
I am really stoked you like my cartoons. Yes, I do the drawings and the text. It takes several hours to do each strip. The panels are a nightmare - I have to do the backgrounds and the characters separately, and then add in the text. I'm using Photoshop 6.0. I draw Jon and company freehand, scan them, color and tinker with them, then resize them to the background templates. Then it's text and fixing mistakes! A lot of crazy work... but I'm a Daily Show addict. That show is like crack to me.

I'm INCREDIBLY GLAD you like the Morning Leibowitz! Thank you for visiting it

20. Thank you!!!!
I was so scared to post the link. I thought it would be rude if I did it before introducing myself officially - but "introducing self officially" felt arrogant - can you tell I'm a Libra? All this angst... I'm always worried I'm doing something impolite...

I was insecure and scared I'd get read the riot act for posting it, but I was so excited! I love this comic strip so far and want to tell the world!

You guys are the best.
Thanks for putting up with me and my scribblings, Sfex

PS, my favorite strip panel so far is the one where Jon has his face buried in his hands. I think I nailed that one. That's really saying something, because Jon Stewart is very difficult to draw. Stephen Colbert is easy for some reason. Tucker Carlson was easy to draw, too, for some reason... OK, let me shut up now, this PS of mine is getting too long... thanks again!

23. You did nail it. He is difficult to draw because the whole image
depends on his expression which changes about every 15 seconds. lol

26. I developed a character and had to cheat the face every time.
The whole strip was about not seeing the face.

27. Ha! He looks like my dad!
His character gets across! Who needs the face?! I swear to G-d my dad has had moments like this... he's like the black Archie Bunker... conservative... chauvinist... intolerant... homophobic... dislikes immigrants... he was a real piece of work, and why look: you've drawn him, how sweet of you! I just want to know how you met the guy, because this drawing is accurate.

Sorry this reply took so long. I lost the thread for two days and just discovered DU Inbox!

12. I keep saying I'm going to turn in,
but I'm going to end up "turning in" to a bleary-eyed wreck in the morning.

And autorank...it was three in the morning for him the last time I saw him around here tonight.

Is it a full moon? I get pretty restless around the waxing. :loveya: ( remember now, if I should happen to bite you, it's a love nibble, "gay" lady.)
