The Chinese cyber-attacked our government again.... |

these are just trial runs for the "big one", when they eventually bring the entire U.S. Government to it's knees.. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/10/05/AR2006100501781.html

5. Do you doubt this is the case? |

I realize it's not as sexy as fanatical Muslims running around with nukes, but it could be much more damaging in the long run...and I don't have much confidence that chimp and his administration are making this much of a priority. http://www.merit.edu/mail.archives/netsec/2002-04/msg00043.html

3. Bush & Cronies go AWOL. Again. As usual. They never defend America |

from anything. They went AWOL on 9/11. They went AWOL on Katrina. And now they are AWOL on protecting our government computers.
Bunch of AWOL republicon screwoffs, wasting time and taxpayer money by perving on Congressional Pages.

"Through established security procedures, BIS discovered a targeted effort to gain access to BIS user accounts," said Commerce Department spokesman Richard Mills. "We have no evidence that BIS data has been lost or compromised."

Like I believe anything these clowns say.

Why would they want to "bring us to our knees?"
They OWN us for cryin' out loud.
China holds ALL the notes on the loans that the BFEE have been writing.

China WILL take Taiwan, in the very near future I predict, probably sometime soon after they host the Olympics.

8. "eventually bring the entire U.S. Government to it's knees" |

Shit, they don't need to hack our computers to do that.
All they have to do is call in the hundreds of billions in loans that we owe them. Everybody does remember that they are financing a very sizable chunk of our national debt, don't they? The government has already been selling pieces of our national parks to the Chinese just to keep our heads above water,
Although "oooooh the godless commie red Chinese are hacking our computers trying to destroy us" does sound a lot more fear-mongering and distracting.

they are hacking into our computers. They hacked into the State Department computers a month or two ago, now the Commerce Dept. seemingly without much difficulty.
Do you not see this as a problem?
I agree with you about the debt, but that is just one aspect of our complicated relationship with the Chinese. I believe they've got much more up their sleeves.

11. Wasn't that in Tom Clancy's "Debt of Honor" novel...? |
|
The same prophetic story where Clancy foresaw a large passenger jet used as a suicide "missile" to crash into the Capitol building during a joint session of Congress. Earlier in the book, a cyber attack on the American Stock Market is used to bring down the economic infrastructure in order to paralyze the US and prevent them from interfering in a military conflict in the Pacific.
Could it be he got it right again? I don't always agree with his political ideology, but he sure sees the problems that the current administration tends to ignore.
