1. Right that is why the republiCANTS support green candidates in close races
because they do so much to open up the debate.

4. kinda the point
would we be better off if the Dems and GOP were the only choices? I think we do better with more (so does Rat worm DLC Al From - he says that Gore did better in the 2000 race with Nader in the race).

Do you really think that we would receive better public policy with only two parties?

What if third party's were only allowed to support a D or an R? Would they still be vilified?

3. The PDA hasn't created a new party.
I think the deleted thread you're talking about was linking to a 2 year old news story.

8. thank you
I wasn't sure what pad was up to.

In NYS we have a Working Families Party which generally supports the Dem candidates, or opposes conservatives (regardless of party affiliation). I think it is a very good thing and has been very helpful to the Dems in this state.

5. My thoughts is it will stay a two party system because-----
The thoughts that move in are usually picked up by the major parties and become part of how they think. I am listed as a Green and feel Nader is one of the best Dem. around and I think a lot like him but know I can not split the party vote. Better I try to make the party more like Nader. We also seem to be a more open party then the GOP who just kills the people who do not stand right on the line with them. It seems that a man who has always voted GOP can not say a thing about his party yet we just hack ours apart daily. Just hear the calls from GOP on C-span. If one said one thing that is not in line they call up and say he is really not in the GOP. I am sure you just can not be in that party if you do not like every thing they do. Hardly what you will find here.

10. Perhaps this will be the last time
Is PDA like the Working Family Party? To me, PDA is some Dean DFA spin off.

The amount of shit that I don't know is truly shocking.
