60 Minutes to cover the "No Fly List", includes dead & jailed

We start this week's show with a look at the government's "No-Fly List." As correspondent Steve Kroft reports, "Anyone who's passed through an airport in the last five years and has been pulled aside for extra screening knows that the government and the airlines keep a list of people they consider to be security threats." 60 Minutes has obtained a copy of the secret list. In addition to containing the names of people who are dead or in jail, it also contains common American names shared by hundreds of travelers. "If your name is on the list of even similar to a name on the list, you can be detained for hours," Kroft reports. "The list is incomplete, inaccurate, outdated and a source of aggravation for thousands of innocent Americans.”

2. More incompetence......this is exactly the same problem

with the FISA spy issue.....by lumping everyone into one pile there is no way you can find a terrorist......this is ridiculous....

Why can't they use the Israeli system....apparantly it works...

5. My Husband's On the List!

Or, he was in 2005. We didn't have any trouble when we went on vacation this year. He's got a common first and last name, as do I. That's why we both use our middle names in addition, to differentiate from the thousands of other people with the same name.
