Cool (but expensive) vehicle I saw today.
I was driving down the road and saw what looked almost like a small airplane behind me. It soon came up and overtook me on the road. I am not sure why they call it an ECO-mobile. Can't find the stats that would make it eco friendly so perhaps it is just a title???? Here it is: http://www.ecomobile.com/.

60 miles to the gallon. wow.

kool videos!

one shows a spin out
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWPxUD40JFo

and one shows the wheels retracting, which explains why the driver in the first video had to have help getting going again. the crash wrecked the training wheels. :)

7. Shame on you, Rick!
Please give a gal some warning, will you? Hubby wants a sporty car and he is nearby. I would be dead in the water if he saw that! Pretty car, though!

13. Hubby is in luck!
Response to the Tesla Roadster has been even greater than we anticipated, and we’ve “sold out” of our special edition Signature One Hundred Roadsters. We’re now taking reservations for our next 100 Tesla Roadsters to be built.

Put him on the list, you can always morgage the house or something, right?

(ps. Had a friend who took out a morgage to buy a new Harley. His wife was livid! You ever see a 5ft tall woman chase a scared 6ft tall beefey biker with a frying pan?

18. I do not see paying that amount for a car
when you could buy a house. Glad they are sold out even though we would never be that extravagant anyway. We believe in helping the environment but that is a bit more than we are able to do.

I would love to have seen your friend being chased by his tiny wife. Too funny!

I didn't see anything about gas mileage on the website, but it's an interesting little thing.

12. That's a modernized ripoff
of Jim Bede's BD200 Litestar autocycle.

Bede was the inventor of the "BD5" (the little silver bullet plane used in the old coors light commercials}

Here's a BD5 fuselage converted into a trike:

Here's more about the BD200:

17. Even those ones
are rip offs of the 1950's Messerschmitt Bubble Car :

There are earlier models than that one too.

2 wheel front steering, But certainly the autocycle has been a concept almost since the automobile itself was invented.

I'm not sure but I think the Bede effort was the first (but failed) attempt at a full production, single front wheel steerer, single rear drive + outriggers, for the US market. It's failing, I believe is the lack of sufficient computerized control availability at the time, in order to raise the outriggers. That is something recent, although it has been employed for regular heavyweight motorcycles like the honda goldwing as an aftermarket add on. It is an indispensible aspect for the modern autocycle to acheive full motorcycle type handling.
