Bush wants The Caspian Sea
Now I knew the neocons wanting war with Iran was about oil, but what I forgot is they don't just want Iran's oil, they want to be able to get to the Caspian Sea which is rich in oil and maybe natural gas. Now that the Iraq war has failed and there is no sign his friends can get their hands on that oil, Bush is setting it another venture, he's courting the countries that border the Caspian Sea, he had Azerbaijan's President Aliyev at the White House
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2006/04/images/20060428_p042806pm-0052jpg-515h.html

And he's urged the leaders of two of the Caspian Sea countries to sign an a oil deal http://www.rferl.org/featuresarticle/2006/06/5EFEBA41-B283-4A78-B3C7-6207DE20A7EC.html

And he's made friends with Islam Karimov, the insane dictator of Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan doesn't border the sea, but the pipeline would have to run through there.

And there has always been speculation that Bush wanted to run the pipeline to the Caspian Sea through Afghanistan, which was invaded in 2001. If the Afghanistan invasion was really about Osama, he would have been found by now. Bush has used diplomacy with other leaders whose countries border the sea, but he knows that won't work with Iran, so the only way he can get to those resources is to get rid of the Iranian government. Now I know this has probably all been discussed before, but I wanted to bring it back up from a fresh perspective.

1. I'll bet you a dollar to a dog turd he couldn't find the Caspian Sea
if he was drowning in it. His puppet masters may want the oil from the Caspian region and they have undoubtedly instructed him to make overtures to governments in the region, but he couldn't spot it on a map .

2. China and Russia have their own Caspian Sea plan...
I think that point is what most dumb ass Americans
fail to comprehend.
They actually think this whole circus is about
"spreading democracy" and fighting "terrorists."
They have no clue or knowledge about the struggle to control the
Caspian Sea pipelines.
God, we are so fucked.

3. The Twin Towers Attack on 9/11 Was All About the Caspian Sea.
Bush and Cheney's courting the Taliban, giving them $43 Million Dollars in violation of Clinton's sanctions didn't sit well with Saudi Osama. Caspian Oil competes with Persian Gulf Oil.

The Taliban didn't hand over Osama because they couldn't. The Saudis ran Afhanistan by proxy with Osama. They protected their market.

4.  This is true.
Ever since they offered the Taliban a carpet of gold or a carpet of bombs for the pipeline before the Iraq war. Remember?

5. and that pipeline must go through Afghanistan,
which leaves Mushareff and Karzi to fight over who will control it. Once that pipeline makes it to the Mediterranean the plans I've read show an underwater route to Israel with Israeli control of said areas including the underwater sections which pass south past Lebanon's coast. Starting to look like a more complete picture now.

7. An underwater pipe to Israel???
Do you really believe that is at all credible? How impossible would that be to reapir let anlone install. The BTC is going to run to Turkey. All the oil/natural gas will be offloaded from the port of Ceyhan, in May 2006 oil began flowing.

This is the reason we do not support a free Kurdistan, Turkey must be kept in the American sphere of influence.

8. pipeline is disposable.
I design, install and operate petroleum pipelines and a five year service life is acceptable.

I don't disagree with the other routing but the ultimate profitability for a supertanker going to america would be to reestablish the port of haifa pipeline supply going through Syria. That line has been unused for decades and Syria does not seen eager to help. And there is a lot of oil in the caspian.

google search on underwater pipelines.
