Depending on how old the child is, the correct answer can be for a small child "Don't worry about it." or "It's nothing you need to be concerned with now." If the child's much older than 9 often they'll find out from their friends before you ever knew there was a question. If they ask you, and are approaching pre-teen years, you can explain it delicately. Wish I had more details, I'd try to offer more. PM me if you like for privacy.
