WOW! Ed Rollins just said Chappaquidic should not be used to deflect
attention from Foley, Hastert, et al and all the other bad stuff going on... Just on Lou Dobbs now. He said it is a tactic that goes way over the line.

He didn't bring it up, he was asked about it by the stand-in for Lou.

7. Did you see the Shays quote?
Something to the affect of "At least Hastert didn't leave a girl in the water to drown. At least he didn't kill anybody."

Don't even ask me how this relates to an old man preying on House pages. Mary Jo Kopechne was 29 and a teacher. Hardly an innocent, and certainly not in 1969.

3. Now these are some "last throes"
Sandy Berger, who's already been investigated. Reid transferring a piece of land into an LLC. And now the old reliable, Chappaquidic. You know things are pretty sad when they have to resort to this.

5. No duh! Chappaquick was 36 years ago and if they are going to
throw that around maybe we should throw around Laura Bush's little mishap behind the wheel.
