I am torturing myself - just watched Coulter and Hannity....
After running to the toilet and purging my dinner, I sat in amazement at the utter sickness (I mean really psychologocally disturbed, insane, sick) of Mann - er, Ann, and the slick, smooth, fear mongering Rovian talking point monotony and glibness if InsHannity. Oh yes - there is the completely empty, ineffective, plasticperson space taken up by the hapless, pathetic, irrelevant Colmes.

Thank GOD that the vast majority of people who watch this and swallow the swill are the lost 30 percenters!!!!

I don't subject myself to such torture very often, but confess that all plane crash, all the time has grown old - even allowing for how tragic it was for the Lidle family.

there spokes models with those cardboard cutouts in uniform that we taxpayers supply to our troop's families, and just tell the viewer that they all decided to go support the WOT with their own enlistments.

that percentage....I ask her all the time - Hey Mom, do you watch any other cable news channel other than Fox? Oh course I do and by the way, it's my business what I watch. But Mom, I just want you to get another opinion and/or outlook. Really, I do watch other shows.....

Walk into my parent's house any given day, all the TV's with the exception of the one in my Dad's den will be on Fox...I love my mother deeply but in the last two years, I have come to realization that she's a snob and a bigot whilst all the while going to church and believing in being a good christian. I just don't get it.

8. Many people
use socially-acceptable "norms" (use more or less, especially expected "norms" -- and primarily in form) to justify and "cover" being largely-however they want to be -- and doing largely-whatever they want to do.

And when you have a whole bevy of people doing this in conjunction, then it's mutually reinforcing, which makes it that much harder to overcome.

In any event, the natural counter to this behavior is for the community to be sensitive to superficiality, shallowness, pretentiousness, hypocrisy, posturing, etc.

But sadly, these things in no small part characterize large (sometimes organized) segments of our society.

And when you're dealing with someone close to you, great tact and discretion can be required in order to ensure smooth social functioning and interaction.

9. I'm not masochistic enough to view both.
Nope, not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent at this juncture.

10. Why would you do this to yourself?
I can take Ann Coulter for about 2 minutes, O'Reilly I laugh at, and I can't take Hannity at all. Come here, we'll surround you and wrap you in warm soft towels for a few hours. You might need some Syrup of Ipecac, while you're at it. Talk about needing to detox.

So Mr. or Ms. NRaleighLiberal... lie back on the couch, get comfortable, and tell me about this masochist need of yours to seriously damage your very soul...
