2. wear a veil or else?
~Baghdad (AsiaNews) – Young Christian women and girls have been abducted and released after ransom money was paid only to commit suicide because of the shock, violence and shame they experienced. This is happening in Baghdad where kidnapping has become a growth industry. Criminal gangs are lining their pockets as the number of victims grows and the line-ups at border posts grow even longer with people trying to flee the country.

Christians from any denominations, clergy or laity alike, are one of the preferred targets in the capital. ~

Guess they had more freedoms before this bushy war of liberation.

3. Words fail me.
Christians in Lebanon have suffered this past summer. Christians in Iraq are suffering now.

Where in the world are the Falwells, the Robertsons, the Dobsons....why aren't they screaming at the top of their lungs about this???

They're part of the church universal; what, are they not white enough? Not fundy enough? Is it because it's women who are being victimized? Is it only white American Christian men in power who matter? :nuke:

5. EXACTLY!!
I feel the same way -- and the irony, the irony, that these holier than thou Xtians support this war that resulted in driving out some the oldest Christian sects in the world, these churches in Baghdad date back to 1 AD and the U.S. fundies could give a rat's ass about what is happening to those people.
