Wes Clark's call to arms - America must rid D.C. of the derelict G.O.P.

For anyone who doesn't watch 15-30 minute videos - Here Ya Go!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6A0dG9mtno

Forget 7 minute abs - how about 7 minute honesty! This is so strongly worded that if anyone watches one minute they will watch the final 6! It is wonderful. I'm so glad General Wes Clark has stood up for our democracy! What he said is very brave - think about it after watching his comments, and forward on if you would.

Here's a short one of him talking about Bush making this WWIII and going after a billion Muslims!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_iG-IBG7h4

Here's the full 35 minute speech:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqvZ_a-zuvk

To hear Wes get emotional there at the end, it's the least we can do (tell our friends & families).

5. I luv the guy but, he speaks
of our neighbors who are to busy to read the tea leaves, and that we need to talk to our neighbors, to get them to vote these guys out, all while we are asking them to vote into a machine that counts votes secretly, I luv Wes, but he needs to start reading the tea leaves himself.

WE CAN'T VOTE THEM OUT, IF WE NEVER VOTED THEM IN.

A call to arms would be Wes getting ON TV and challenging the Repervlicans to a ALL PAPER BALLOT, COUNTED BY THE PEOPLE, RACE in November.

THERE IS PLENTY OF TIME TO MAKE THAT CHALLENGE A HAPPEN, If America is in SUCH a desperate situation, Wes needs to make this challenge IMMEDIATELY!

7. Wes Clark understands about the machines......but there is little that
will be done about any of that in the short time we have left. It is up to us at this point....even if we have to win by 5% extra points!

8. A paper ballot challenge can happen
in the time we have left, but thats not all the paper challenge will do, Repervlicans will fight making the challenge happen, we all know that, so even if we don't get the challenge to happen, The Dem's can all say loud and clear, WHY WON'T THE REPUBS ACCEPT OUR PAPER BALLOT CHALLENGE.

It would be a thing of beauty, going into Novembers election.

11. I agree with you....but many already know that the GOP is not FOR
fair elections...and to be honest with you, I think those who vote Republican could care less about who's votes are counted and who's are not.....unfortunately! :(

12. The American people Dem and Rep, like a good challenge
as we see with shows like fear factor ect, now if we can get a Dem leader to make the challenge ON TV, the majority of people would get behind the challenge D or R. Keep in mind there are only a select group of NEOCONS that actually know that the elections are being rigged.

The Republican people could care less if we use PBHC, only this select group of NEOCONS does. So I think a good old fashion ON TV CHALLENGE, might do the trick. Just think of the talking points we would have when they try and chicken shit there way out of the Challenge.

If the NEOCONS say it can't be done before the election, then we challenge them to agree, to a mandatory full hand count of all the paper ballots, that we do have on hand. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

14. did you happen to see the Ohio 2005 initiative vote swing?
needless to say, all the election reform initiatives failed ... check the math between pre-polling and final results ... my fear is that an extra 5% won't matter ... how difficult is it to call for paper ballots and hand counts? All the GOP wants is to maintain a majority. How many seats are involved to make that happen?

We need Wes calling for paper ballots and hand counts when doing his speeches. That's rallying the troops for victory. The people went to the polls to vote Bu$hCo. out in 2004. They'll do the same this November. Wes is preaching to the choir about how important it is to vote them out. He needs to motivate localities to call for injunctions or whatever it takes to 'cease and desist' use of the HAVA machines ... to call for a moratorium all aspects of HAVA and use of paper ballots and hand counts (no central tabulators). All day long on election day 2004, we were hearing it was going to be a huge win for Kerry. The White House went from 'you're going to lose and lose big' to all smiles and glee.

from Brad Friedman's Huffington Post post

~snip~

The Columbus Dispatch's pre-election polling, which Fritrakis and Wasserman describe as "uncannily accurate for decades"

~snip~

ISSUE 2 (Allow easier absentee balloting)

PRE-POLLING: 59% Yes, 33% No, 9% Undecided
FINAL RESULT: 36% Yes, 63% No

ISSUE 3 (Revise campaign contribution limits)

PRE-POLLING: 61% Yes, 25% No, 14% Undecided
FINAL RESULT: 33% Yes, 66% No

ISSUE 4 (Ind. Comm. to draw Congressional Districts)

PRE-POLLING: 31% Yes, 45% No, 25% Undecided
FINAL RESULT: 30% Yes, 69% No

ISSUE 5 (Ind. Board instead of Sec. of State to oversee elections)

PRE-POLLING: 41% Yes, 43% No, 16% Undecided
FINAL RESULT: 29% Yes, 70% No

~snip~

of course, who knows what the GOP will spring this time ... they might put a lot of campaigns into disarray so we won't know who won ... creating court fights, etc. if that happens, and litigation runs until the new Congress meets, who will be sitting in that Congress?

9. interesting proposition...
I wish they would. if it doesn't occur, and we see the repubs win in MO & OH along with a shocker in say, MT or another state where we have a 6-8 point lead, then people like Wes and others may demand a paper presidential election. I hope if that were to occur (us not winning the senate) even though I don't want it to, that it won't be too late for democracy to find itself not totally defunct by bushco's policies.

thanks for the comment.
