Will MSM cover her speech. Will they interview her? This will be one massive nail in Buscho's coffin. Go Cindy!!

1. They'll ignore it.
Just like they did with Jimmy Carter.

2. Nah. I don't think they could...but the R/W media would start...
Edited on Thu Oct-12-06 08:18 AM by Junkdrawer
a "The Nobel Peace Prize is now irrelevant" campaign and the rest of the media would always refer to Cindy as "the recipient of the controversial Nobel Peace Prize"...

5. Yup, they would try to discredit the Nobel comittee
label it as a "liberal academic" organization
dig up dirt on everyone involved
try to tie them to the UN
say "we cant let foreigners tell us how to run our wars"

pretty standard stuff for them.

3. Do you really think she might?
I mean I would love to see it happen, I am one of her biggest fans. I exchanged letters with her after the open letter after Casey's death, I was so moved, I just had to write to her. What a fabulous person she is! But dare I hope for that recognition?

4. She was the catalyst
She is the one that got the Iraq War on the front page. Even if they were talking trash, they were talking. Her pursuit of Bush accentuated his failures--even to Bush supporters (not Bushbots, nothing will make them see the truth).
She, above anyone else, deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.
I would like to see her get it.

6. Amen...
She is an amazing woman, and has rallied so many other people to speak out. She certainly deserves it.

7. I am hoping
She has competition but if she wins it will be Bushco's worst ever Friday 13th.
The Nobel Peace Prize for 2006 will be announced on Friday, October 13 at 11:00 a.m. CET.

10. For those who have not seen Harold Pinter's Nobel Lecture:
An incredible powerful, fascinating lecture about arts..but predominately about US foreign 'policy.

Also on video - same page.

13. Pigs will fly.
Amazing. And when she cures cancer, they'll probably ignore that, too; its all a conspiracy.

14. I think this is an example of the DU "bubble"
My initial reaction to this idea was that if someone seriously thinks Sheehan is going to win the Nobel Prize they are kidding themselves.
Then I thought that I was probably being a little unkind.
However, now I have found an article talking about who is being suggested.
No mention of Sheehan.
And since this is from BBC, I hardly think it is an example of the right wing media -- even though they've got Bolton in their list. More likely just an example of how people see things in the "real" world.
