I saw "Iraq for Sale" last night
Went to see the movie at a local library last night with a bunch of other local progressives. It really brings home extent of the greed and utter stupidity of these companies; Parson's, CACI, Halliburton, Blackwater, etc. When the Dems take over congress, there better be some serious hearings about the war profiteering. It is so obvious that the strategy to outsource basic military functions is a complete fiasco and is hurting the troops.

1. Senator Byron Dorgan has been pressing for
a Truman-style war profiteering investigation for what must be years now, every time he comes to the Senate floor he brings new horror stories.

So far though, the only serious hearings he can get on anything are through the Democratic Policy Committee which he chairs, and the only Republican who turns up to those is Walter "Freedom Fries" Jones

2. I was a little disappointed
I felt they could have used more facts and less stories about the effect on the families. The dollar and cents of this issue is what enrages me. The civilan contractors' families will get written off with the usual "they chose to go and could have left when they wanted". If you really want to piss people off, show the executives safe at home who are making the obscene profits on defense contracts.

I recommend "Ground Truth". It starts with the recruiters and ends with the VA, basically what it is like for our soldiers. Very well done, not as much political but tells how we are really screwing over our soldiers.
