MAN O MAN! FOLEY SCANDAL HAS BECOME HASTERT/FOLEY
The topic is still the top news story. And with only 27 days to election left, an investigation that will continue at least for another week, the press is just waiting to find out the results of anything that comes out of it.

I have a feeling if heads don't roll as a result of this investigation that the press will continue to bang on the door right up to election day.

Hastert won't resign because he knows the party is already damaged goods and the news coverage would not change. If he resigned, it would not stop this thermite reaction that has been started.

1. Blood in the water
The press loves anything salacious. They'll keep wrining this one out to the very last drop, even though it involves a republican.

2. Hastert lied again
Hastert said I will fire anyone on my staff who covered this up. Well hey Denny Foley's Chief of Staff just told the FBI and the Ethics Committee he told your Chief of Staff hmmm not fired yet

4. Today's poll #'s: Hastert 52%, Laesch 42%. Incredible!
Hastert has never had less than a 20 point lead and now, in less than a week, he's dropped ten points!

Day-um! John Laesch may just knock him off his block if he can get some funds. He's clearly on a roll - I can't believe how far he came in a week.

5. Oh that is great news
I gave to Laesch campaign last week after Hastert's press conference where he lied about not knowing anything. Good to hear this.

7. Monkeyman, feel free to put up a new thread with a link to poll#'s
I don't have access to the link - I just heard about it secondhand - maybe MYDD? They usually have the latest congressional polls from Majority Watch.

My friend just told me that Tammy's back to being tied with the rightwing freak Roskam in the 6th.

Kick for John and a link!

8. Tammy is up by one
I will post links as soon as I get them. John is being down by 10 means he will work harder. They where on the coners with the signs I sent 'Hastert why did you Protect Foley'

9. He will work his ass off - he has been working his ass off
but this has to give him a huge adrenaline rush.

Anyway, I'm about to leave for the protest in Chicago, then I'm racing back for the debate at COD between Duckworth and Roskam. Maybe I'll see you there?!

Peace!
