BIG NEWS: Mike Malloy to fill in for Springer next Thursday and Friday!

UPDATE

Hi Truthseekers.

MEDIA ALERT!

Listen to Mike Malloy as he substitutes for Jerry Springer next Thursday and Friday October 19 & 20! Check your local Springer on the Radio affiliates for broadcast times.

As for media news: Here's an article about Mike in the latest issue of Creative Loafing. Mike was also recently interviewed by salon.com for an article they're writing about Air America Radio past, present, and future, but that's been awhile now so maybe the article was shelved. Atlanta Magazine is also considering an article, or at least a blog, by Doug Monroe.

We hope to have some good news to share with you in the next few days (as well as our Air America saga), thanks for hanging in there! What a long, strange trip its been.

As always, your email, calls, and petitions are tremendously helpful. It certainly is a big boost to our morale and is noticed by potential radio outlets as well. Thank you thank you thank you so much, we'll be in touch.

Watch your back,
Malloys

10/12/06

This is kinda bizzare, to say the least, considering that Springer is still (somewhat) a part of Air America Radio, but great news indeed...

2. Mike Malloy Substituting For Springer
Alright, Mike is one of my favorites. He doesn't know the word, 'Fear.' I just love the way he goes after the lecherous, scandalous, theocratic Repugnant-icans.

5. Here's the stream link, just in case.
http://www.airamerica.com/springer/streaming

Plus, 3 affiliates still stream Springer: 1310 WDTW in Detroit, 1360 WSAI in Cinncinatti, and 850 WCPT in Chicago (yes, Mike will be briefly heard on an actual radio in Chicago!)

11. He still does, but it's in a drastically reduced form
Springer is part of the alternate "Air America Syndication" feed, similar to Thom Hartmann. Seder, has, however taken most of Springer's former affiliates.

18. So, I can't listen to it on XM?
Guess I'll have to subscribe to that podcast just for the time MIKE MOLLOY is subbing for Springer. Kind of makes me respect Springer a wee bit, after all don't you think he had some say in who would be his sub?

12. POTENTIAL DATA POINT: Springer & XM
Edited on Thu Oct-12-06 05:36 PM by Rosco T.
XM is apparently trying to get Springer BACK ON, I do have emails to confirm this (many may not like Jerry, but many do) under auspices of (wait for it)... CLEAR CHANNEL. Clear Channel has litigated bandwidth from XM (ugly story) and currently programs XM165 and XM152. They (at this time) have ED SCHULTZ split up across the two channels and tape delayed... they have the bandwidth for as many as 4 new talk channels.

Connect your own data points on this.

note: I said TRYING TO GET IT BACK ON.

Things move slowly in broadcasting (just ask Mike).

22. Is Malloy subbing for Randi tomorrow?
Randi mentioned she was taking Friday off but "you need to listen anyway, that's all I'm allowed to say." I probably wouldn't have put any thought into it if it weren't for this post about MM subbing for Springer next week.

29. Mike Needs To Be Back
I couldn't agree more. Maybe some Neocons have snuck in to Air America. If Mike is junked, then the Demo leaders have the same fear as before the past two elections and will meekly watch us flushed down the drain again. What's next, a Karl Rove show? Outside of Clark and Kerry and Gore tipping the scales with Global Warming, just who is going to take the bull by the horns?

I was hoping she was hinting that Malloy would be the sub.

34. On the phone with Mike Malloy
I was quite surprised whn Mike Malloy called me this evening. We had a great chat and he will get the best enchiladas ever made when he comes to visit. I only posted yesterday and he showed some real class by making the call. I was shocked but ever so happy.
Of course he is rough on the airways. How rough have we had it with the Repugnant-icans. Mike is a voice of CHECKMATE that scared the crap out of them. He may be off target a little at times but how off target are the Admin's lies and deceptions that got us into this deadly quagmire of an occupation. And how hard is it to understand that it was bin Laden we all wanted, not Iraq. Sorry, I am old enough to remember Pearl Harbor and I have tunnel vision. Just the fact that the Repugnant-icans and their leader don't care where Usuma bin Laden is or even care after issuing a 'Dead or Alive' poster is enough to have the rascals kicked out of office and out of sight. But no, chums are in the alphabet soup of deceit together.
If Air America and investors were upset over his take on Israel and Lebanon, just get over it. Show that the proof is in the pudding. Israel can take care of itself when it comes to most Arab states and don't need our extra push to do so. Just good leadership which is sorely lacking here.
Mike has the right take on most issues and he might help make a difference come November. If not, kiss the Democratic Party goodbye. Kiss more freedoms goodbye. Kiss some of your friends and family goodbye. America will never be the same. Neither will the world. One Party rule is Stalinist or worse. Time is short; shorter than most Americans care or want to believe. Act quickly or suffer the consequences.
