HOLY CRAP! This new book "Tempting Faith" could be devastating!
I am sure I am late to discover this and you all have probably been discussing it all day, however I just watched the video at crooksandliars.com on this and can't help but think this will be the fatal blow to the Bush Administrations chances and keeping the house baring fair elections.

I simply think this is HUGE! Republicans lost their "we are making you safer" talking points two weeks ago when that government report about how the Iraq war was creating more terrorism, was leaked. Last week the Foley scandal took away the Republican strong point of people thinking they are more moral than the Democrats. So all they are left with is their Religious nut-cast base to come out and vote in droves. Perhaps it's wishful thinking they will believe this book, but if their base stayed home this election this should be a HUGE LANDSLIDE!!!!!

All they are left with is a handful of just total nuts that are so out of touch with reality they will believe anything Bush says. Even if Bush was video taped having sex with a goat they would believe Bush. Hardly enough to stop the dam from breaking and the Dems taking over everything!

So you may have better luck on Monday. :)

17. KO himself explained on tonight's show
that he obtained a copy (or his staff did) by going to a bookstore and ASKING FOR IT! They got it from behind the counter!!!

20. I hadn't considered it until he said he did it...
I think this is a major book that will give the WH headaches almost as much as Woodward's did.

3. It is incredibly huge.
The book is out next Tuesday, the 16th. The Dems should be pushing the book's message as hard as they can - that Bush and company have played the Religious Right like saps.

4. It doesn't matter if the fundie masses read the book
Edited on Thu Oct-12-06 07:48 PM by rockymountaindem
If Pat Robertson, Falwell, Dobson et. al. know its contents, I'm sure the message will be transmitted one way or another. On the other hand, if the leadership doesn't say a word, but simply and silently turn their backs on the Republicans, that will have a major impact.

Edited for apostrophe misuse ;)

Their morals and ethics are no greater than those of the general public. They'll blame the messenger.

Maybe the 10% will be enough to tip the balance.

12. Or they may not vote. Some here wouldn't vote for a Dem but
also won't vote for a Republican right now.

8. I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet
The one thing that the Christian right is best at is rationalizing. I can already see this being spun as a big liberal conspiracy to nullify their vote even though any one with any sense has know this for years.

14. "Using" Christians for votes.
Using tax dollars to scam "Christians" for strictly political purposes is par for the Bushie course.

**Everything** Bush does is for his own self-gratification or some scam to steal the Treasury, steal elections or buy votes.

Just another plan to 'privatize' religion in order to larder the Republican pantry.

19. If it were a Democratic scandal
it would be career-ending.
However, since it is a Republican scandal, it will be downplayed and called lies. One word. O'Neill. His book has proven to be 100% accurate as history has played out. How many times have you heard pundits refer to it?

21. conservative x-tians are so dumb it won't matter...
take my brother and mother for instance (please!) they are so mesmerized by their bigoted christian desire for a new hitler to lead them into the rapture and away from the brown devils that they'll keep voting. christians that i know are too dumb to vote for the right thing. they're being used and they are all far, far too stupid to know it.

any christian who voted for this sick, bigoted, genocidal administration before, is so stupid they will never be swayed from their evil. sadly, jesus christ never meant for christians to be as evil as they are today.

22. I'm Not Sure ANYTHING Will Change Them
He's right you know. KKKarl that is. They are "nutcases." I agree with Lawrence O'Donnell.

But you know what, they're still LOYAL to the repubs. I know some real Moron repubs, and I'm not sure than any proof would make a difference.

Besides, I expect this guy to be Swiftboated fairly soon, and they'll do EVERYTHING they can to discredit him. I hope he's got few big skeletons in his closet.
