air america goes bankrupt |
|
I was just listening to pigboy and he was crowing about air america going bankrupt. I guess they could not come to terms with a large creditor from the first year. They are also trying to stem red ink.

1. His show was bankrupt from day one.... |
|
And he was financed by right wing moneybags who love the idea of bamboozling the feebleminded among us.

7. But He's Also Interesting to Listen Too |
|
Assuming that "PigBoy" means OxyRush: OxyRush is interesting to listen to. He used to have bits that were pretty funny, even to a serious Liberal like me (e.g., I think the Clintons are flaming Republicans that just don't hate the idea of other people having sex). Heck, I still listen to OxyRush while channel-surfing in the car - until he says something totally evil (usually within two minutes), at which point I switch.
The only program on my local AAR affiliate that I can listen to for long periods is Stephanie Miller (who is brilliant!) - and I don't even think that she's officially part of AAR. The rest of the hosts are nice people who I usually agree with, but they are just not entertaining.
I'd love for AAR to do well, but they need a very fundamental management shakeup - they need people who know what's entertaining, and what's not.

But liberal radio will survive. I think AAR management has made some very bad decisions, but the talent that their on-air personalities have displayed and the ratings and following they have gathered have proven that there's a market for liberal radio. It will appear somewhere else, in another form, and hopefully those in charge of it will make better management decisions than AAR did.

9. How odd. You would think that the mouthpiece of the liberal media |
|
would have no trouble raising money.
Meanwhile, RW trash like Faux News and Rush Limbaugh are propped up by huge, RW corporations and media organizations.
Yet they still contend that the media is liberal
