Let the Mighty Eagle Soar

What's creepier, the fact that he is singing this from a podium, or the fact that he wrote the song himself?

I love this comment from the YouTube comments of this video.

"Why do so-called "patriotic" Americans always go on about fighting for freedom then go calling people they hate "liberals". "Liberal" = liberty = freedom. If you are against freedom then you are a fascist. I dunno, I'm not American, so it all doesn't make sense to me..."

So very very true, Liberals value freedom....PERIOD.

~on edit, Ashcroft will be appearing on Bill Press Monday morning, and on The Daily SHow Monday night.

Let the Eagle Soar with sidebar comments

"Let the eagle soar, (sore?)

Like she’s never soared before. (Like she's never sored before?)

From rocky coast to golden shore, (Mixed Metaphor, unintentional disclosure)

Let the mighty eagle soar. (Redundant adjective)

Soar with healing in her wings, (Healing is a process not an object, incorrect preposition)

As the land beneath her sings:

'Only god, no other kings.' (single quotes converts a sentence fragment into a verb object)

This country’s far too young to die. (Hey I thought we were soaring. How come we're dying already?)

We’ve still got a lot of climbing to do, (If we're soaring why do we need to climb higher? Are we not soaring high enough?)

And we can make it if we try. (copyright infringement: http://www.athropolis.com/song4.htm)

Built by toils and struggles (What was built?)

God has led us through." (Led us through what?)

This doggerel gives dogs a bad name
