Sex is amazingly wonderful, huh? Ranks right up there with winning the lottery. What could be better than having sex with the person you love? Or even with a person you like profoundly? What a great gift we have that we can please ourselves and others in this way. Sex should be celebrated.

But that's not what is happening. Thanks to the puritanicals, sex is wrong. Sex is the original wrong that has stained humans forever. If it wasn't for sex, Satan would be jobless.

I suppose if I were a fundamentalist, I'd need to remind myself of the horrors of sex every time I thought about it. Which would be often. And every time I let the slightest thought of sex enter, I'd quickly bury those desires else risk my entrance into heaven. Christianity is genius. Tie the most awesome feeling to sin. I'm getting excited, Jesus same me. She has nice legs, Jesus save me. He's so funny, Jesus same me. I have a nice ass, Jesus save me. Teenage fundy minds must be a minefield.

So it's unsurprising that republicans and conservatives have unhealthy sexual habits. There're ashamed and scared whenever they become aroused. From the pulpit to your pants, shame on you.

I have to chuckle at the notion of teenage fundamentalist virgins. They pledge to mommy and daddy and the preacher to remain a virgin until they marry, then they have porn star sex, everything but vaginal intercourse. Praise the Lord!

i spent a lot of time in the fundamentalist environment, and the first thing they teach their kids is we are all sinners. i am a sinner. it is said consistantly and often. a reminder. a chant

i was ok when my oldest was taught this because he is good at putting htings in perspetive. didnt even think about it.

my youngest has a bit of evil, eye of satan. lol lol in him. so at four when he is being taught the verse we are all sinners,... i automatically say

no NO No no,...... no sinner you. look at your beauty. look at your grace. i see no sinner in you

and it hit me, if i tell this kid he is a sinner, then there is his excuse to do wrong. not his fault. he is who he is. he is 9 now. i so know it would never work to talk to this kid that way. i have to shine the lite,, let him see his possibilies and he will shine.

people say they are sinner often enough, they are going to have to become the sinner to make it their reality.

12. Wayyy back, as a High Schooler I learned one thing.

My buddies would scout out the girls from the local catholic HS because they were absolutely wild. Church youth group outings were also great sources of sexually active girls.

The more you forbid teenagers something, the more they want to do it.

It's a little late, but thanks to all the moms and dads that sent their daughters to church youth groups and religious HS, without you I would have been a virgin a lot longer!
