1. OK, the blond male bimbo has lied
Eisenhower sent the first troops to Vietnam and he was no liberal. Institutionalized racism and the lack of opportunities in education and unemployment made housing projects (which had actually been tolerable through the sixties) fall apart completely during the Nixon years, NOT the existence of welfare. At the same time, it was policy like the drug war that incarcerated black men at an alarmingly high rate that caused their families to fall into welfare dependence, generation after generation.

He's wrong about who demonized liberals. It's not the conservative politicos, it's their ranting mouthpieces on hate radio, enabled by the abandonment of the Fairness Doctrine.

He was right about the GOP being against the people. They always have been, always will be, and the people had bloody well better wake up about that.

He's also clueless about what liberals stand for.

Mr. Bimbo would do well to lose that smirk, too.

2. I tend to think of myself as a progressive rather than a liberal,
though we want pretty well the same things. The difference is, I think liberals are basically progressives who dawdle and drag their feet way too much, while progressives are more or less liberals who are in a big hurry to effect positive change NOW.

3. The guy is an idiot - clueless about what the word liberal means.
Dam, that was about the worst definition of liberal I've ever heard. A large, dynamic government?

He was kinda close about Repukes. I'd give him a D minus.
