V.A. Secretary Jim Nicholson claims the V.A will become a leader for the health care industry in combining genetic research with the best medical practices, benefiting not only veterans, but all Americans as well hmmmmmmmm
How will the VA accomplish this? By using the DNA of millions of veterans to create what could be the world's largest gene bank. Do you trust the VA with your DNA? Remember the VA let millions of veterans data be stolen. Do you want your DNA information along with your personal information in the hands of who-knows-who?
I am waiting for the Democratic Committees to say something on this.

fait accompli, and has been for YEARS. The military has already been collecting DNA. If they want Vietnam era vets' (who didn't stay in) DNA, that's another story. But hey, they can do what they will--odds are it'll be "No DNA, No Treatment."
The DNA is taken from the ACDU ranks so that when they cut your head off and bury your burnt body in the desert, the military can identify you. It's taken during your physical, and sent off to a central repository. It doesn't stay in your medical record.
