re scalia
My daughter is studying law in northwestern university and scalia came by one day to discuss things with the students. Now get this: one of the students on the left side of the room raised his hand to ask a question and scalia(verbatim) I NEVER TAKE QUESTIONS FROM LEFT. Everyone giggled politely but then he turned to the right side of the room to take questions and ignored the student on the left!!!!!
These people are sick.

1. Scalia-
A tiny minded little twit who, along with Thomas, should never have been allowed anywhere near a supreme court, except, perhaps, as a defendant.

3. Yes, he is a rude and ignorant man..
"absolute power corrups absolutely" and he plays that tune to the max,
for only one reason, because he can!

2. Close Minded Prig
Scalia has always had a lousy judicial temperament. He evidently does not care whom he offends -- even a dewey-eyed law student.

This is not a nice man. He's getting more bullying as time goes on. There's a sharp-edged waspish bitterness about him. Some judges become more human as they age. This man is apparently not one of them.

Your daughter needs to know (and perhaps already does) that Justice Scalia's treatment of her reflects far more negatively on him than on her. And it won't be the last time she's insulted by a judge who is scared she might ask the wrong perceptive question.

What a jerk of a man.

8. One Has to Wonder How Far Right He Wants To Take Us?
...taking away the rights of women and minorities? Gays? Voting rights forever?

4. Scalia is just another reflection of our sordid society.
Scalia is proof that this society continually elevates the most psychologically deficient persons to the highest posts. "We" are way messed up to think the Bushes and Scalias are to be "honored."

"There's a sharp-edged waspish bitterness about him." Made me think about Thomas.

5.  a bullet sounds the same in every
language. Maybe the audience caught on that he's a Jack-ass. I would be pissed if a liberal didn't take questions from the right.
