I think they'll let the votes count (Dem victory) in '06; steal it in '08 |
|
I think with all the shows demonstrating how easy it is to rig the Diebold machines, the 'powers that be' will let us (rightfully) claim victory next month. But in 08, they will say that America has once again rejected Democratic principles yada yada yada and install a majority Repug Congress, Senate, and President... That's IF our Dems don't do something ASAP about the machines between now and then.

1. Already been people reporting voter purges in their dictricts |
|
Look for a lot of surprised people on election day when they find out they aren't on the voter rolls.
Already suppression going on.
They mean to steal this one too. Only way some of them stay out of jail, so they have nothing to lose and EVERYTHING to gain.

13. The reports about purges are a tactic of surpression. Get it? |
|
Many people won't bother if they think there is the slightest chance there will be a hassle at the polls. Too many people are reluctant votoers to start with. This Ohio voter supression thing reads like a planted story to me. "My freind's friend said they heard that...blah blah blah blah. Do me a favor, don't help them spread this one.

16. No, there have been real purges |
|
Some DUers have posted about their areas and it is bad. It is fraud and violates civil rights.
Do me a favor, don't tell people what to report and not report

3. HOPEFULLY, by '08...evoting machines will be BURNED. |
|
People are finally talking about the hackable voting machines. Of course it's 2 weeks before the damn election, but it's 2 years before '08. Maybe, just maybe people will wake the hell up and INSIST on paper ballots or at least a paper trail/receipt.

4. Unless the Dems lose this November then it's fraud, of course. |
|
Because, just like when I played checkers with my brother when I was a kid, if he won it was because he cheated. When I won, well, the game was on the up-and-up.

8. With poll numbers the way they are |
|
how could they lose WITHOUT it being fraud? If they lose, I'll be screaming my head off and it won't be childish whining. It will be standing up for my democratic rights.

15. If polls are so accurate why bother with elections? |
|
If media polls are always spot-on, and we know how trustworthy the media is, then there'd never be any use for elections.

18. I never would have thought |
|
I'd see the day when I felt I could trust the polls more than the actual elections, but I'm sorry to say I'm there.

Dems will take the House in November BUT…..
My worst nightmare.
November 2006: the Democrats will take the House by one or two seats and maybe the Senate will be a 50-50 split (with Cheney being able to cast the deciding vote where necessary). All well and good you might think; the Dems are happy because they have regained some control and the Republicans are happy because they only lost majority control by a couple of seats and their election fraud was not questioned (“…but but but if they wanted to steal the election why did they let the Dems win? See that’s proof there was no election fraud- carry on Diebold and all you Katherine Blackwells”). The Republicans spend the next 20 months pushing their “anti-terror” agenda but get nowhere because every bill they propose is shot down while the Dems are heavily criticised in the media for wasting tax payer money on pursuing the criminals who have devastated this country for the last six years.
August 2008: a massive terror attack hits the United States, bigger than 9/11, probably involving a “nucular” device. The Republicans aided by the MSM, who give them all the airtime they need to put their arguments across, easily convince the American people that this wouldn’t have happened if the House and Senate were still controlled by the Republicans.
November 2008: Republicans gain back the House and Senate with a massive majority along with a newly "elected" president. Nobody takes stories of election fraud seriously- it’s obvious they won because they are the only party that can be trusted to keep us safe. And that's the way it will stay for generations.
My worst nightmare.

7. This is the way I see it too: Taking a temporary loss to ensure |
|
long term power. If we win, they can shout, "SEE??? THE MACHINES ARE NOT RIGGED!"

6. I Think You Are Absolutely Wrong |
|
I think they will make a full force effort to steal this election without regard to 2008 because if they do not hold the Congress in this year there won't be any Republican apparatus available to steal it in 2008. Its now or never for them.

11. Or just rig enough that GOPs JUST SQUEAK BY, but not too obviously. |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-20-06 09:56 AM by blm
That way the storyline media will push is that Dems did great but just narrowly lost by one seat.
Distracting from the election fraud, giving Dems SOME thrown bones, but GOP survives for the reasons necessary.

10. If that happens in '08 after a Dem victory this November |
|
then we will have deserved it. Our first priority once we have control of at least the House has to be restoring integrity to the electoral system.

12. It's just that our leaders tend to be blind about these things |
|
E-voting fraud is just viewed as another far left internet conspiracy. If Dems win the houses back, they will assume everything is fine in America and that the machines are OK. That's what I fear.
