Flip-flopper Bush not staying the course, panicking.
With absolutely no moral compass whatsoever, George Bush is once again flip-flopping, doing exactly the opposite of what he promised to do. This time, it's failing to stay the course in Iraq, a promise he has made perhaps 300 to 500 times in the past three years. Faced with disapproval from a majority of Americans over that strategy, one he repeated he would never abandon for years, the little punk is cutting and running, throwing the blame into the laps of Rumsfeld and the generals, and failing to stand up for what he believes. Assuming he believes anything at all. A rather dubious assumption, now that I think about it.

1. I can't wait to hear what he has to say about this; he has some
explainin' to do. And I guarantee we won't believe a word that comes out of his mouth.
I just wonder what Dem plan for withdrawal he 'borrows', claiming it his own.

2. You can only
ignore reality for so long. Let the unravel begin.

3. what makes you think he is changing his strategy?
If you are refering to his meet up with Gen. Abizaid I have no expectations of anything coming out of it. Since when has he EVER taken advice in this farce of a war?

It appears as though this is designed to have him look "engaged". I don't believe anything will change until he is out of office. Snow pretty much says as much here....

<snip>

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Gen. John Abizaid, the head of U.S. Central Command, is headed to Washington for weekend meetings with the top commander in Iraq, President Bush and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld as insurgent violence increases in Iraq.

The talks were scheduled as "part of a regular consultation process," said White House spokesman Tony Snow. The president is not thinking about changing U.S. strategy in Iraq, he said.

"There will be no change in strategy," Snow said during Friday's regular White House briefing.

Bush told The Associated Press on Friday that the U.S. is "constantly adjusting our tactics so we can achieve the objectives and right now, it's tough."

He declined to say, though, whether he thought a change in tactics was necessary, AP reported.

4. Lou Dobbs has been spouting this "blame the generals" rhetoric lately
as well. How about blame the idiots who took us into this illegal, immoral, choice of a war. There's nothing * can say about it that will sound even remotely credible. This is a mess of massive proportions now.
