I dreamed last night that I was arrested.
I was driving with my wife and an older woman -- maybe her mother -- when I noticed we were being paced by several police cars, in front of us, to our sides, and behind. I pulled off the exit and stopped at a market where we sat at a table. A policeman came in and asked me to step outside, where I was informed that there was a warrent for my arrest; I then felt the cold metal embrace of handcuffs on my wrists.

"I've never been arrested in my life!" I cried. "What have I done? What's the charge?" They just smiled politely and escorted me to a waiting car. It was then I realized: I'm being arrested for my political beliefs. It shook me up so much I awoke in panic.

There's a storm on the horizon; we've elected a group of Neville Chamberlains, and they're promising "peace in our time", but the promise is empty, and the enemy is cruel, self-righteous, perhaps mad. War is coming.

1. I've had a similar dream--rather creepy, that, eh?
What is so sad is that the times we live in makes these ideas possible. So much for "it could never happen HERE!"

I just hope the country wakes up and smells the damn coffee before there's blood running in the street.

2. There will be another revolution
if the fascists-in-power begin imprisoning
"disruptors" and other political opponents
for sedition and treason.... I have a hunch
that's how our country was founded.

That doesn't mean Bush won't try it..
make no mistake these are fascist nazi punks
in the White House .. and they will do ANYTHING
to continue their power grab putsch.

I hate nazis like George Bush.

4. I had a disturbing dream last night that there
was a force moving steathly over our land (whole world) and it was sucking the souls out of the earth. The vantage point was from very high up. It moved like an amoeba or a cancer over the land.

It doesn't sound like it would be that disturbing, but it had me up all night. Could NOT get back to sleep.

5. 'Neville Chamberlains'? More like 'Benito Mussolinis'
Chamberlain tried to avoid war. Are you saying Bush and Congress are doing that? (I assume you're American, from your avatar) Are you saying we should be attacking more people now, to avoid a war later? If so, who (and how does that fit in with being arrested for your political beliefs)?

6. No, I'm saying the Democrats are the Neville Chamberlains

and they keep trying to appease the the neo-Nazi Bush regime. Instead of fighting for what's right, they roll over for everything, and now for Alito, and you can kiss your constitutional rights goodbye.

And I really had that dream, BTW. Scary as hell.

7. Fair enough
I thought you were talking about 'war' as in 'against another country', and made my assumptions from there.
