Is Murder Legal? No. In time of war? STILL NO, EVEN FOR THE PRESIDENT |
|
This is such a monumentally simple analogy to make.
Is X legal? No. Is X legal even during war? No.
Fill in any crime - murder, rape, robbery, forgery, grand theft, fraud. There is no crime that you can list that becomes legal during a war, not even for a President.
Why does this mind-numbingly simple analogy escape the average person?
FISA - 1993 - Loophole exists to allow warrantless physical searches FISA - 1995 - Loophole removed because FISA should NOT ALLOW WARRANTLESS SEARCHES.
How clear does this have to be? FISA applies to Bush, and he broke the law. Its clear FISA is MEANT to be the law regarding wiretapping and requires a warrant in all circumstances, because the one loophole where you could search without a warrant WAS PATCHED in 1995.
