Bill Clinton in ad for Proposition 87 (California)!
That's one of the few things that might save this proposition considering all the ads against it.

1. if people see who's payin for the No campaign
Chevron and some other big oil company

I have my doubts about it but I still voted for it simply because Chevron and some other big oil company were against it

2. Sorry, but endorsements don't get props passed or candidates elected
I'm speaking from Cali, and am a big proponent of prop 87.

There is nobody in this or any other universe who can get a proposition passed just by recording a single commercial for it.

If any single individual is credited with the passage of prop 87 it should be Stephen Bing, who ponied up $40 million for the campaign, making it competitive with the Chevron backed anti-87 ads.

3. I don't think anybody's trying to deny Bing the credit he deserves.
But having two (that I've seen so far) spots by Clinton and one by Gore is a very, very powerful thing. I wouldn't be so fast to say it won't have an impact on voting.

4. Gore, too.
Gore is throwing his weight to support Prop 87. Saw his ad this evening.
