I'm so SICK and TIRED of paying ridiculous taxes! |
|
It's election time and alot of pols are talking about taxes. Republicans have always been able to lure swing voters because of their hard stand on taxes. Personally, I'm pissed because I look around and wonder what do I get for my hard earned money? The schools suck, the roads are crumbling and the courts are backed up. But then I ask myself, if we didn't have taxes, how would we pay for all the wonderful Republican Programs that have enriched our lives so much? Then it all makes sense...
Our taxes are going towards the $350 Billion-Dollar-and-counting mess in Iraq.
Our taxes are going towards the Unemployment, insurance and training for all of the people who are part of the Republican Job Program called OUTSOURCING. Our taxes are going towards the devastating effects of Katrina with FEMA's lack of cost-effective, proactive measures and its Bush-league response.
Our taxes are going towards a Pork Barrel Budget, with no vetos and unrestrained Republican spending.
Our taxes are going towards the destruction caused by extreme weather due to Global Warming that Republicans refuse to acknowledge.
Our taxes are going towards unbid defense contracts and unaccountable Billion$ in missing money in Iraq.
Our taxes are going towards gasoline that has tripled in price so that we can provide for 4000-mile trips for Iraq photo-ops on Thanksgiving.
Our taxes are going towards the lifetimes of care needed for our tens of thousands of wounded Veterans.
Our taxes are going towards the unnecessary billion$ for Medicaid/Medicare medication that Republicans will unequivocally not allow to be bought at fair prices.
Our taxes are going towards the unprecedented, mushrooming cost of energy under the Republican Energy Reform.
Our taxes are going towards Homeland Security and its election-season Code Orange and Red which have dried up the resources of local budgets for First Responders.
Our taxes are going towards the billionaires and the other 1%'ers so they won't have to be burdened.
Our taxes are going just towards the interest alone ($40B/yr) on the largest debt in the history of the world.
The list goes on and on and on...
So next time you hear a freeper talk about problems with their take home pay, or next time you get an email about tax burden and Liberal spending, remind them of the TRILLIONS of dollars that this administration has cost the taxpayers with no measurable benefit whatsoever. Email them the above list, add your own and tell them to
vote Democrat if they care about their economic future.

2. Well they live in abject terror |

that somebody somewhere is getting something for nothing. What's a few thousand dead Americans (of course the Iraquis don't count) and few billion missing bucks when somewhere out there somebody's eating without working? And it's not them?

Another one is our taxes going towards Bushie flying all around the country in AF1 campaigning for other a-hole republicans. Why the hell should the American public have to pay for that?

4. This would resonate with the truly greedy Repukes. |
|
They find it hard to rationalize any kind of spending that takes money out of their pocket, even if it is an investment for the future. If it's not a book they're going to read, they see no reason for buying it for a kid.
