Has anyone read "Confessions of a Crap Artist"?
Novel by Philip K. Dick--one of a few by him that is entirely not sci-fi.

For those who haven't, a crap artist is a person who is perfectly capable of distinguishing falsehood from reality, but always chooses falsehood. A person with a perfectly functioning BS detector who falls for all BS and none of the truth.

When I think about Republicans and what they believe, my mind keeps going back to that book.

2. It's a truly great book,
sick and disturbing but sad and prophetic at the same time.

5. An Amazing Book... Even For Dickheads
For a prophetic look at where we're headed as a nation... one of his last works... Radio Free Albemuth... is stunning.

does it fit in the VALIS trilogy or not? (Not to threadjack, of course)

8. Yes.
My favorite PKD novel. The French film, "Barjo," was based on the book.
