|
http://www.crooksandliars.com/2006/10/25/bill-maher-and-joe-scarborough-talk-bush-pelosi-08/Hey are there any pictures of Scarborough with Foley? That would be the old "live boy/dead girl" axiom made real

4. Probably because Maher lets Scarborough get away with quite a bit ... |
|
... when he appears on 'Real Time.' Maher tends to be more aggressive when not hosting his own show, imo.

3. I'm sorry, but it didn't look like that much of an "ass-kicking" to me. |
|
Maher barely was able to get any of his points across because the Blow-Joe continually interrupted. Of course Maher made more sense, but that's to be expected...

5. Agreed. Scarborough was typical blow-hard. |
|
And, Jesus, Scarborough keeps running back to claiming that Maher claimed Nancy isn't liberal -- when Maher was only trying to highlight the framing of her as an "arch-" liberal, as in arch-enemy.
Scarborough remains clueless enough to think and say that Delay is closer to mainstream American values than Nancy Pelosi. Jeepers.

7. It's a common, underhanded debate tactic: Constant interruption |
|
It's meant to monopolize the debate and sometimes throws the target off his or her train of thought. A good defender, though, always sticks to the point he or she is trying to make.

He is a Libertarian.
The only reason he got hung-up on the labels is because a sane person would realize that if we operate on incorrect labels, we're lost. He brought up the fact that perhaps she voted against defense appropriations bills because of pork and not necessarily because she wants soldiers to walk into battle without body armor.
The man was sticking up for sober reality, not liberals.
Look, I'm about as weary of a large overbearing federal government as any right-leaning Libertarian, but there have to be minimum standards in any debate, and there can be no debate if there are no agreed upon definitions from which to debate upon.
