REPORT: DoD's New, Untested, Secretly Developed Overseas Military Voting Scheme for General Election 'Poses Significant Security Risks'
Computer Scientists Warn in New Report That U.S. Military and Overseas Ballots Now Vulnerable to Loss of Privacy, Identify Theft, Hackers, Tampering by Both American and Foreign Governments

System Never Publicly Tested or Used Even in a Primary Election to be Used for First Time in November 7th Midterm Election!

A group of independent computer scientists and E-Voting experts have released an alarming short paper warning of "significant risks" found in the newly announced plan for Military and Overseas Voting by the Department of Defense.

The experts had been members of a scientific peer review panel for a previous DoD Military and Overseas Internet voting scheme in 2004. That experimental program was subsequently cancelled after the plan was found to feature "a large number of security risks and vulnerabilities, including denial of service attacks, insider attacks, viral attacks on voters' PCs."

But now, in September of this year — just over one month ago — the DoD announced and implemented their new scheme for military and overseas citizen voting via the Internet to be used this November 7th without any public testing or peer review whatsoever.

According to today's report, the new DoD voting scheme — known as the "Interim Voting Assistance System" (IVAS) — has been put in place without any "publicly available external security examination" and has "never been used in a public election before (not even in a primary)" and gaping security vulnerabilities have been found...

1. Well, since we all know Repukes treat our military like a whore,
It should come as no surprise they plan to use military votes as the ones to keep Repukes in power. The GOP does tend to hate vets and active troops with a certain passion.

8. Strap yourself in, because you're going to.

I'm sorry, I know everyone hates to hear it here, but I am urging everyone not to get your hopes up. Fight, canvass, march, rally, vote, VOTE, VOTE, bring friends with you to vote, make it clearly visible to anyone and everyone that there is little support for this fascist regime. They'll still very likely steal it, and we need as many people foaming-at-the-mouth angry as we can muster.

Or we can roll over and go shopping.

But be ready. You're going to go through even worse "issues" this time. There is a reason e-voting has only become an issue a few weeks before the election. Just read any freeper board. The freeps and conservative underwear stains are totally convinced the democrats are going to use e-voting to steal the election from the GOP. I'm totally serious. Wade into the cesspool and see for yourself. This must be how they rock themselves asleep each night, imagining that up is down and black is white, and democrats control the voting machines.
