Pastors endorse KATHERINE HARRIS; they prefer her positions.
A group of seven Central Florida pastors and Christian leaders Tuesday endorsed U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris for the U.S. Senate, saying incumbent Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson is wrong on issues important to evangelical Christian voters.

The pastors cited Nelson's position on abortion -- he generally supports abortion rights -- and his opposition to a constitutional amendment forbidding gay marriage. Nelson has said he personally opposes gay marriage but thinks the decision to legislate against it should be left to the states. Florida already prohibits it.

"The reason I will vote for Katherine Harris is because she supports more clearly the views that we believe are right and true," said Alex Clattenburg, pastor of Orlando's Church in the Son.

The effort was organized by Strang Communications, a public-relations firm that describes itself as "focused on spreading the name and fame of Jesus throughout the world through the mass media."

10. She is a scag ...
And as noted, flaunts those reworked mellons as much as some wrinkled up lady can ...

From a christian point of view, and larger christian organizations, you would think the way this lady acts like that would be enough to put them off ... But, she is flat out NUTS, at a level that might actually be worse than Rick Santorum ...

HOW on earth, could any religious organization support someone like this ... It displays just how craven some of these groups are, to not see how much of a nut she is, how bad of an image she portrays, and to want to associate with her ...

I don't know the man, but I have GOT to believe that Bill Nelson is a reasonable, church going person, and is SANE and does not act like a 55 year old bimbo ...

8. Well, someone's gonna lose their tax-exempt status!
What a shame they had to waste it on someone who has no chance in hell of winning.

Muhahahaha!

12. This is actually funny,
the title of the article is a great lead-in. Journalists have a name for this; I forget what it's called.

But it's a great way to pull people in based on an alluring headline. And we want our favourite Katherine Harris to get all the headlines, don't we? ??? (wink wink nod nod).

Great work, BlueB.

15. The Katherine Harris Campaign theme song
Cue Ray Charles . . .

My bills are all due and the baby needs shoes and I'm busted
Cotton is down to a quarter a pound, but I'm busted
I got a cow that went dry and a hen that won't lay
A big stack of bills that gets bigger each day
The county's gonna haul my belongings away cause I'm busted.

I went to my brother to ask for a loan cause I was busted
I hate to beg like a dog without his bone, but I'm busted
My brother said there ain't a thing I can do,
My wife and my kids are all down with the flu,
And I was just thinking about calling on you 'cause I'm busted.

20. Proof positive that these "christians" are nothing more than......
bought and paid for extensions of the Republican propaganda wurlitzer. There's nothing remotely "christian" about these assholes if they support the "positions" (missionary, doggy-style, lotus) of Kate Harris and her ilk. Time to take away the old tax exemptions from these korporate kristians, I'd say.

25. Interesting, Mr. Clattenburg
You say that Ms. Harris more closely represents your views, and you specifically cite abortion and gay rights. Could you, as the good Christian I'm sure you are, please point me to any biblical citations wherein Jesus discusses those two issues? Because Jesus sure had a lot to say about caring for the poor and the needy, and it appears that Ms. Harris is quite deficient in her proposals for the economically disadvantaged.

Why do you place such a premium on abortion and gay rights (two subjects Jesus never mentioned), and neglect so many other pressing concerns that Jesus did mention?

30. Uh, hold up a minute here.
They're endorsing a woman who, at the least, broke one commandment - the third - when she opened her office on a Sunday to halt the recount and certify the vote.

Remember that thou keep holy the sabbath day.
Six days shalt thou labour, and shalt do all thy works.
But of the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God;

Thou shalt do no work on it, thou nor thy son, nor thy maidservant,
Nor thy beast, nor the stranger that is within thy gates.

For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and the sea, and all things that are in them,

And rested on the seventh day, and sanctified it.

Exodus 20:8-1
