So what do you think the Bushes have on Sen. Byrd? |
|
With all of their wiretapping and all I mean. What sort of blackmail could they have to make him completely betray The Constitution like this?
Is it a sexual thing? Is he protecting someone he loves? Has he made some sort of deal?
I just can't wrap my mind around this. Joe Lieberman votes no but Bryd votes yes. It's insane.

7. Byrd voted for Alito because he agrees with him. |
|
I don't know why some are surprised by this. He's against the Iraq war. So what? He's still pretty conservative on social issues.

9. His re-election excuse is a cop-out |
|
Don't live under the mistaken impression that Bird only voted for Alito because he was up for re-election and at the same time hold him up as a "statesman". The two are mutually exclusive if he gives one shred of honor to the constitution of this country.

and Byrd yes?
What brought this on?
Actually, I still think it is odd that Roberts got mostly everyone's approval and Alito is sticking in a lot of folk's craws. They seem highly similar to me.
