What is it with repubs and the health of people? From parkinsons to UHC....
I am just not getting their stand on things at all.

Oppose universal health care, oppose stem cell research, oppose sex education, oppose aids prevention, oppose environmentalism, oppose reducing pollution, oppose mental health care funding, and I am sure we can all think of more.

And yet - we have them being in favor of the the health of corporations. Tax cuts, bailing them out for 'the good of us all', training people from Kindergarten to be good workers as this gives them the tools to make more money (ie, we care about how well you can produce, not if you live or die), helping them to keep producing pollution, cutting down forests for corps to sell off, and hell I could go on.

They are not for the people. They claim to be, but it is clear as day they don't give a shit about you or me.

If you are not exactly like them then you are flawed and you have only yourself to blame for your situation. You didn't save enough money, you didn't work hard enough, you made bad decisions, and a host of other excuses they use to blame a person for not having all they need in life.

Unless you are bush and need more money for wars and death. Unless you a big company that needs funds because you are going bankrupt - and the reason you are going bankrupt is because the mean old government made you follow regulations.

What would they have done had Jesus come to earth and said "What, ME die for YOUR sins? Sorry folks, you made your own sins and hell is where you are heading, I ain't saving you - and spare me the whining about how you grew up in sin, were tempted and made a mistake, etc and so on. I ain't buying it. You're screwed."

Get those people out of office, they are a sickness on our nation. Somewhere, someone tonight is thinking of killing themselves. They are depressed. They need help. And what help will we the people be able to give them as a whole? Not much - all our money is already tied up killing people in other countries, building fences, empowering the employers who are spewing pollution into our air, and...well you get the picture I am sure.

I say let the military run off of donations from faith based charities, or have telethons. The same with congress and their health care. Let them run off solely the kindness of others and see how messed up it will all be. But no - they are worth more than you or I, they are 'important' while some poor black kid in an inner city without enough food to eat is hungry of his own fault and not using his resources better. Yeah right.

The party of life is the dem party. If someone cannot see that and still votes for a republican then they are not only stupid, they are mentally challenged. And to think we sometimes wish to cater to them by putting issues near and dear to us on the back burner. Don't offend the crazy folk...fuck that.

The inmates are running the asylum, and Michael Myers has escaped and is running loose on the streets of American, Iraq, and elsewhere.

I feel like dressing up like a hippie tonight and making love. Who is with me?
