Michael Steele on Meet The Press Is Making Me Dizzy |
|
He literally is taking all sides on all issues. I support stem cell research, but I don't support using embryos. I support Affirmative Action, but I don't support it, etc. etc. etc.

2. Did you notice he couldn't quite decide |
|
what to do with all those embryos that otherwise will be discared from fertility clinics. "I support an adoption program". Wow!...way to take a stand! Good for Russert for holding his feet to the fire a bit. All Steele could come up with for all those leftover embryos was to "take a closer look at the situation"! GRRRRRRRR

8. he didn't know how to answer when timmy asked why he opposed.. |

research on embryonic tissue. Nice deer in the headlights moment. Of course Timmy bailed him out when he answered for him; "It's the killing, isn't it?"

4. Michael Steele wouldn't give a straight answer to most of the clear..... |
|
unambiguous questions asked by Russert. How could a rethug support or vote for such a wishy-washy evasive idiot.

7. Because they know that All GOP votes....... |
|
are controlled by the party, not by the individual. Their positions on most issues are dictated by the republican party, and counter to the positions held by most americans.
It's easy to see why they must speak in talking points and unable to defend their positions on a given issue.
"How could a rethug support or vote for such a wishy-washy evasive idiot." (you ask?)
The answer?? 'It's a no brainer' (c)Cheney, 2006

Funny, I just wrote the same observation over on the "Latest Discussion Threads" page! I said he was flip-flopping (I had been watching when he talked about policy in Iraq). When I went back to viewing the show, I caught the segment on stem cell embryos also and said "Egads, he's doing it again."
Steele (yes, caught the "Steele, Democrat" segment also -- that too made me dizzy) kept saying insubstantial things like "we'll have to look at that later and decide later what to do about it," and other non-positions like that.
On the other side, Cardin sounded so clear and reasonable.

I was in bed while watching it, I had to put one foot on the floor to stop the room from spinning.
