Re: the Pelosi flap. Has anyone pointed out that many Republican women are running for office? Why aren't they all home following traditional family values? How dare they speak up on the airwaves? Why the double standard? This is a simple message that any American (particularly the right) could understand.

This was the very issue that at the age of 10 yrs made me a feminist.
I was watching TV with my mom, and Phyllis Schlafly was on, yakking how women needed to stay home, give up the idea of a career, etc. When I turned to my mom and said, "But, she's on TV, away from home doing this?! She has a career speaking against rights for women!"
My mom said, "Reality will never stop her from pushing her belief..."
So when I hear "Stay the course!", when I hear "The economy is strong!", when I hear "Freedom is on the march!", I just remember what my mom said...
Reality has NOTHING to do with their beliefs...
