It comes down to this
As you all prepare for the elections, I don't need to remind you what the stakes are.
America, as a nation and an idea is badly damaged. And we have a vastly different scenario today than in 2004. Voters are grumpy--upset with the ever increasing violence in Iraq, the rampant corruption, the cronyism that defines the GOP rule.

I know there has been allot of talk about stolen elections, disenfranchising voters....but I don't think they (the GOP) can pull it off this time. The odds are too far out of their favour this round.

so, it comes down to this. Either the GOP will accept a democratic victory.....or they will rig another stolen election. Stay safe--VOTE. Exercise your right as citizens to do the one thing you can do. Participate in the democratic process.

Should the GOP do the unthinkable and gerrymander another victory,my prayers go out to all of you....well, they do anyways, everyday....but please be careful. I am not sure what your options are then--or what America's options are for that matter.

I had a very disturbing dream last night. The short version is that the GOP declared a stunning victory over the democrats. Public outrage rapidly ramped up to rioting....and then George did what he has always wanted to do....he declared martial law. Troops were sent out to quell the violence. The few democrats that were elected were rounded up as enemies of the state. They, along with any and all dissenters were "dissapeared".

I don't know if this administration could ever accept a democratic victory....and while the polls are all looking great--I worry. I worry that it is already too little, too late. I worry about the military commissions act, and the new law Bush passed that gave him supreme power over the national guard.

Do your thing--and take care. Good luck. I know this is premature, but am going to be offline for awhile.

1. I Cannot Imagine the Republicans Giving Up Power
Though they might have a bit of trouble enforcing martial law.
Doesn't our Army and National Guard have a prior engagment or two?

2. I worry too. I hope the voting is the opposite of a mandate for Bush-
it needs to be an INDICTMENT.

3. It all depends on two things--
1. Turnout. Do everything you can in this area. A high turnout can overcome jiggery-pokery.
2. How well we can protect our voters. If we can't stop the disenfranchisement, we at least have to have a plan to make the resulting elections invalid afterwards.

4. There are so many factors
including the Martial Law factor, that should make anyone who is paying attention, say, WTF!
This is all scary enough. But the fact is SO MANY PEOPLE ARE WATCHING! I think the real neocons- the SOB's that would pull off the election- ya know Rove and co.,are small in their numbers. The real evil, devious ones- not just the regular retarded freepers I truly believe they will be outnumbered, very outnumbered, and don't forget the retired generals and all their inside information, they could possibly pull off a coup if they needed to. These Generals, and others, possibly in the CIA have a real grudge in place, and have begged for a Dem takeover so that the war could have "some oversight".( just recently) .. I guess I'm saying, there are a lot of BIG PLAYERS that wouldn't allow such a hostile dictatorship to occur. So that said, there's also the possibility that just as there are flipping to Rep. votes software, what's to say some genius Dem hasn't invented some counter software, to slip in there at the right time to correct the flipping??? It could happen!!! That would befuddle the arrogant KKKarl! SO we must VOTE VOTE VOTE because there is always the possibility things will work out just fine!!!!!

5. My vote is my life
and the only way to stop me from voting in this election is to kill me.
If my vote is refused or invalidated, again, my vote is my life, and if someone takes it from me,
they better be prepared to kill me.
