1. In '04 (after Kerry wrapped up nomination) I advocated this ticket
but while I applaud Sen. Kerry's comments of today and the agressiveness of his fight I don't favor him again in '08. If he's nominated, of course, that's another story.

2. Kerry now has one thing in his favor...
He's PISSED, his fire is now LOOSED and no handler will silence him again.

This is not the '04 Kerry. This is the Kerry that testified before Congress about Vietnam, this is the Kerry that went after the BCCI.

This Kerry can win OVERWHELMING numbers (and he won in '04 and we all know it)

3. I believe he won the electoral vote in '04 (Ohio) but I'm not sure
he won the popular vote in 2004. It is a reversal of 2000--of course in 2000 I firmly believe Gore won both the popular and electoral vote--had the Florida recount taken place.

4. They'd eat Max alive. I'd like to see him back in the Senate, myself.
He was a powerhouse there. He acknowledged suffering from depression after that brutal loss. They'd spin that like Eagleton, you know they would. He could battle back, but it would take a good deal of steely resolve.

I like Kerry at the top of the ticket, and I like a load of others as well. I'm looking forward to the primaries. So far, of the "likely suspects" that might throw their hats in the ring, I like all of them--each has something to bring to the table. It'll be great to listen to the debates.

5. Boxer/Lewis

John should have gotten the Coverdell senate seat.. We would not have lost the Zell Miller seat if he had been chosen..
