We only have 7 days til election day
Please, for God's sake, lets focus on Dem candidates and winning next week.

Forget about John Kerry, he's not important. Let's dodge the GOP distraction and start talking about our Dem candidates.

Its not about John Kerry, its about Dems winning next week.

1. I'll multi-task
I will be a poll worker, I will do GOTV phoning over the weekend, AND I will bitch about how craven they are when they twist and misuse the words of an honorable man!

3. Me, too and I'll ignore the Kerry bs
If he keeps this thing going to keep his name in the news media through the next 24 hr news cycle, I will work my ass off in the next 2 years to make sure he never wins the Dem nomination for 2008.

God, what an ego this man has.

7. I totally agree with OzarkDem
Kerry is as bad as Bush, being stubborn and combative instead of diplomatic. He should be saying, "I messed up that line of the joke, I'm sorry, this was meant as a jab against Bush--NOT the troops." Make it quick, make it quotable, then let it drop so we can get back to the issues.

By arguing the point and refusing to apologize, he's just playing right into the GOP's hands. Though he wasn't intending to insult the troops, KERRY MADE A MISTAKE, and mistakes require an apology. If he'd be a man about it, and admit that "I screwed up", this whole sh*tstorm would be over by now.

He needs to learn from Bill Clinton--when Clinton apologized for the Lewinsky business, the American people forgave him (except for the hard-core rightards).

That kind of political savvy is why Bill Clinton had two terms as President, while John Kerry hasn't even had one. Kerry's too busy letting his mouth write checks that his a$$ can't cash.

4. Nothing and no one is more important than winning next week
and anyone who thinks otherwise needs to really think about whether they want to see continued GOP control of this country.

Are you willing to sacrifice all our wins next week?

Do you really think John Kerry can make any difference with 2 more years of GOP control of this country? Of course not.

Everything in our future is depending on next week. We can win or forget 2008.

14. kerry
Winning next week has nothing to do with what Kerry said,
It was distorted and an apology from nothing said will never happen

5. Well, it can be about Kerry.
Those guys have to hit a homer in the 9th inning - we just have to play out the clock.
I hate to use baseball vrs football terms - or, maybe I don't.

But everyday they come up with tripe is a day closer to Tuesday -

SO I hope they find this tripe every damn day until then.

Cause they are going to lose big.

6. Focus has to be on candidates and the race
Right now the Kerry flap is a distraction and a destructive one at that.

Dem candidates need to be in the spotlight, not Kerry. He's not helping anyone, not even himself.

9. Respectfully - I don't think so.
All he has to do is keep the spotlight off any possible attempt to go end round.

Thats it- Look - if they cannot change the status quo they lose, they know it.

To the extent Kerry blurs any such hail mary attempt, we win.

Kerry understands this.

Kerry is surely a smart guy - this cannot go well for him, right or wrong. But it sure obscures the headlines.

I think Kerry is a good guy - team player - and he is doing the right thing.

11. I guess if its a one man election and the odds are pretty even.
Not 15 points down generically going into this election.

This is ours to lose.

I don't want them to get any message out here - people mostly have made up their mind anyway.

They can't cheat their way out of this one.

13. I have strong feelings for the places I lived-grew up.
Everything else is just numbers to me.

I grew up on the Ohio river - They don't have a prayer.

Not in Pennsylvania and not in Ohio. Not a prayer in hell.

8. Sorry, but you can't just make things hurry up and go away.
It happens when it happens

It is always better to face things head on than to pretend they don't exist
