is anyone listening to AIR AMERICA right now?

I got "server not found" three times in a row before i finally connected and this has NEVER happened before with my 3 month old computer - with ALL the bells and whistles - that has 6 megs of cable service.

I went back to my original direct link and it took 4 trys to get it up... now, i'll try logging in

I brought up the mp3 link in Winamp.

Have you checked your firewall settings?

Another idea is to stream an affiliate.

3. AA's direct stream is hit the hardest every day!

I always listen from a stream at one of the local stations around the country. Sometimes they 'time shift' shows, so you gotta know where to go..

A couple links I use... Both Clear Channel LEFTIE stations!!! Great sound quality!

8. i FINALLY got it back on... the issue on my machine is intermitent...

10. there's no such thing as a CLEARCHANNEL "lefty" station...

I've worked most of my life in media, mostly radio... ClearChannel or rather one of the companies under their umbrella was where GWB "made" and i use the term loosely his first personal million. With ALL those posts have you NEVER herd that info here at DU, rick?

Do you guys have ANY idea how many good broadcasters ClearChannel put out of work, several years back? I interviewed with them, until they gave me a tour of their facilities, which included around 20 stations broadcasting form a single facility WITH NO DISC JOCKS! only engineers making them all sound live. You see, those folks sometimes gave out personal opinions on the air.

I like the AAR mp3 stream myself. Probably because I like Winamp.

Also try WCPT in Chicago. They play the entire AAR stream live after 8PM (they delay Randi Rhodes).

19. I'm going to call tech support at Charter, right now and see what's up...

I have no problems with this high-speed machine with LOTS of RAM and hot microprocessor jamming up with BIG programs like a game I sometimes play... it's only an online issue and it works GREAT sometimes.
