John Fucking McCain shut down any momentum Kerry could have gained
We do need to fight Bush on this but Kerry can't do it alone!!!! The whole Democratic party needs to come forward and back up Kerry like shit head McCain did for Bush.

Several people are somewhat correct on this subject. Kerry does have the spot light and we do need to attack back but we need to do it in full FORCE and be smart about how we do it! Bring out dozens of Democrats, bring out high profile veterans. The war is OUR issue and we can absolutely hammer Bush on this and we have the perfect opportunity but we can't just let Kerry stand out their by himself. The Republican's NEVER fight their own fights, they bring in Swift boaters or John McCain to fight for them. Dem's need to learn to do the same thing.

Absolutely we need to fight back and fight back HARD! Lets keep the fight going but lets be smart about this!!! Flank Bush with Veterans and a crap load of Democrats standing behind Kerry and have them ask Bush to apologize for lying us into war and for all his fucking incompetence. Ask him to apologies for 3,000 American deaths on a lie!

9. I thought McCain was ingenuious. It looked forced.
Rove has McCain by the balls. McCain has sold his soul to the devil. Tonight he will be in Georgie's bedroom down on his knees, and I dont mean prayin'.

25. I think the poster meant to say "disingenuous"
meaning "insincere" or "lacking frankness"

12. Wait a minute;
the OP makes a very good point- all the big guns in the party should be out there backing up Kerry. That's pretty important. We start getting limp noodles running away, or even worse jumping on the apology bandwagon, and we really could see some erosion in dem support.

Why concede to McCain something that isn't true? Frame this as a plus for McCain is BS!

McCain's opening salvo missed the mark, and he wishes he could go to his hidey-hole for the next few news cycles.

20. John "Please Sir, may I have another" McCain didn't do shit.
He's not on the nightly coverage-- it's all Bush, Snow, and the pundits salivating over a mirage of red political meat...

Too bad for them-- as they look posilutely relicudous... :)

We're fighting and will continue to do so.

21. I agree -

Man - I think we have a legitimate shot at a senate pick-up in Arizona. Mccains buddy Kyl, I think we can take him out.

John M will be feeling a lot of heat should this occur.

Kerry is on to something - cause at the very least he can clog up the news cycle for days. They don't have days. And Kyl is dropping by the hour, appears to me.

Joe

place so that "later" Kerry and other candidates have the back up in House and Senate.

26. nah.

All the talking heads and wonks are all aflutter about this, but average voters don't give a crap one way or the other. It agrees with what they already think and adds nothing, so it's a wash.

Iraq is a 35/56 issue for Bush- his 35% agree with him, and the 56% who don't like him agree with Kerry. The split doesn't do anything for Bush, and it gets Iraq back out ahead of the Republican Happy Talk and their pushing on gay marriage, Al Qaeda, and more tax cuts.
