57. Someone should call and ask if either of them ever served in active duty.
I can't call because I can never get through because of a previous call I made. They have some way of telling that one is a Dem.

a fat, lying blowhard druggie who 75% of the people in America think is full of shit for mocking a dying man, and you think this is bad for Democrats?

I don't get it.

The American people are waking up to this Bull Shit! They are fed up with it!

The more I think about it the more I think we should just roll our eyes and just laugh out loud!

30. Are the American people even paying attention to this?
I asked several people if they heard about it and they didn't have a clue. When I told them what it was all about, the general reaction was, "They should be getting our troops out of there ... period!"

I didn't even know about the controversy until this afternoon - and I'm a DUer! Does the average person know - or care - about this? Kerry's not even running for office!

37. They will if we make this into a story and the corporate media gets some teeth
in it. Got to put it to rest. They're just looking for something to say that was a "watershed" moment tnat turned the momentum away from dems and toward thugs. Again I say, this blunder just isn't the fight we want to have. Admit it was a blundered joke, and get back on message... PLEASE!

31. yes. admit it was a badly told joke, roll our eyes, and get right back on message
with the real issues. I just don't want us to spend precious time on this silliness. But I know the rethugs will try to play this for all it's worth. What else do they have? They've got to get that good ol' base fired up. Try to play the dem elitist, out of touch, windsurfing hand again. We don't need it, and quite frankly, cannot afford to let that overtake the truth that is finally beginning to awaken in this country.

I'm no coward, just trying to play this chess game to win gosh darnit!

29. It is easy for us to move on....
but I bet It won't be so easy for the Jerry Springer media too. Whether we like it or not the media will be talking about it. Should we all just ignore it and hope it goes away? I don't know but if the media and the repubs succeed in spinning this into a frenzy I think we are better off to approach it offensively rathher than defensively.

7. Yup.. And we have the ammo, Randi had Dick Durbin on tonight
His oversight commitee released a report yesterday about Halliburton. It documents the no bid contracts and how Halliburton was feeding the troops expired food and contaminated water. They are so fucked right now. Thats why Bush is going on Rush. They are in damage control mode. We need to be kicking in doors right now. In spite of some opinions that Kerry fucked up, he recovered brilliantly, Dems need to follow his recovery and GET MAD!

and he didn't cancel his vacation or campaign rallies when New Orleans was drowning. But now he's going to take time out of his busy day - in a time of war, when our troops are dying at an alarming rate - and bitch about something Kerry said.

I'm glad he has his priorities straight! :eyes: :grr:

49. We need to make a list of all the most outrageous things
Rush Limbaugh has said, and then repeatedly link them to Bush, ask him whether or not he agrees with them, ask him to repudiate them, attribute the exact same views to him, tar him in any way possible, as endorsing his most outrageous statements. We should insist that the media and the Democratic leadership do the same. Also hold all other Republicans guilty by association.

I'm still remembering what they did to Wes Clark for sharing a stage with Michael Moore.
