if you get an education, you can be whatever you want; if you don't, you poorly plan and badly execute a war in Iraq, getting stuck there not physically, but in the same way bush, cheney, rumsfeld, etc. are stuck.

13. The impression I got was, if you don't study you

will have to join the Army and go to Iraq rather than further your education. I didn't hear any mention of Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld or a poorly executed war. Maybe that's what he meant but that is by no means the way it came out. What he said was just stupid and I think he could have apologized to the troops if his remarks were misunderstood. If he would have made a statement like that this whole thing would have blown over by now. But the way he handled it this will become the sound bite for the MSM and a GOP ad in the coming week and it just may be the the Dean scream of 2006.

Don't you see? October is old school. This is a late election date, Nov. 7. If we were surprised in Oct. it would give too much time to investigate & explain. I predict a Nov. 4 or 5 surprise. Or maybe the "Surprise" is that the Republicans win with their rigged voting machines. Karl Rove smiles way too much these days.

16. Did you notice 80 students from a madrasa being killed in Pakistan

a couple of days ago? If US intel had been right and the charred and smoking remains of a Qaeda lieutenant the American people had heard of had been found in the rubble, that probably would have been the surprise Rove was tumescing about in early October. But as no one of consequence was killed--just 80 Pakistanis--the surprise will just slip away down the memory hole.
