Senator Kerry owes no one an apology and people need to wise up!
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 12:08 AM by ProSense
These call for an apology are ridiculous: Kerry should have apologized for a RW manufactured frenzy. Consider this crazy concept:

"I'm sorry the RW decided to wait a day before jumping on a comment that was critical of Bush. My apologies to the troops for what the RW claimed I said. Sorry my comments were taken out of context."

Fortunately Senator Kerry didn't position himself as the chump some people here wanted him to be, and give the RW gloating rights for a successful smear!

Democrats need to wise up and stop becoming hysterical with fear every time the RW tries to stir up controversy!

This will be a rough two years if Democrats cower in the face of RW frenzy and fail to hold Bush accountable.

1. RECOMMEND # 1. Precisely.

Never Forget: George W. Bush willfully violated National Security to cover-up his willful launch of a war of aggression and illegal occupation of Iraq.... and, if you doubt it, just check 'the google' ...

15. I'm sorry for the general douchebaggery of the republican party.
I'm sorry for the sacktastic way the media attempts to make believe this is a real story.

But, most of all, I'm sorry for the state of my country, Dumbfuckistan.

3. if tweety reads transcripts and can easily see kerry was talking about bush
then surely our bright du'ers should be able to. if this is the case, then one step further would be not to play in bushco game

4. Not only that
But as quick as bushco jumped on this, you know they heard about Rush and his insults of MJFox, and the insane bile that Coulter and others spew. Yet no one has ever called for them to apologize, or even has stepped up to condemn such. Pony blow and Bush can blow it out their ass. McCain, too. All of them.

5. Apology BS
So how long have people here wanted somebody to grab the media spotlight and say just about exactly what Kerry said? I've seen some posts saying he should just lay low until after the election and that is BS! This is what we need - no more tiptoing around, no more apologies for repub noise, more of this!

When the frack is Bush going to apologize for:

Killing 655,000 +3,000 people?
Doing what bin Laden could never have hoped to do?
Not giving a shit about our security beyond terrorizing us about it?
Giving as much of our taxes to Halliburton instead of on stuff that benefits us?

As for Rush, he doesn't believe a darn thing he says. He knows what gets his base fired up and what gets us talking about completely irrelevant crap. When he apologizes for being a chump, then I'll give a crap what he says.

7. Bush should apologize for going AWOL, Becoming A Deserter
on the 31st day while Kerry was in combat!!!

Kerry should ask Bush, where was Bush?

Where was Cheney?

Where was Rove? Ad infinitum, so saith the Pope!

8. Preach it, sister!
No kidding. Stand up and tell these people to stick it where the sun don't shine! (which is exactly what Senator Kerry did today, and good on him)

Really, when will people learn? The ONLY way to deal with bullies is to stand up to them and face them down.

If you do not do that, they (a) believe you are weak so keep attacking and (b) despise you so feel justified in their attacks. If you do stand up to them they cower and fold like the deeply insecure assholes that they truly are.

So Kerry is doing that, and Max Cleland is supporting him. Does that tell you anything?

9. Thank You Thank You Thank You
This is a sign of RW desperation. You don't let 'em up when you've got them down...you kick 'em. Especially these thugs.

Kerry spoke truth to power and drew blood...guess people here don't have the stomache for what comes with it.

This keeps the topic on Iraq and Kerry's words will fade by next Tuesday, Iraq won't.

Time to stand up to the bully and stand them down. And the time is now. We show strength and we win...we all win.

11. He bungled a joke and gave the machine a diversion for the
next few days. He was wrong to do that. If you cannot honestly admit when Kerry fucks up, then you can't bash bush. When someone fucks up, admit it and move on. I will say, it was nice to hear him defend himself though.
