1. Seems to me he really did miss out on two words "like bush". I believe
Kerry on that.

2. Exactly. And, he did every Dem a favor by focusing and attacking BU$H!!!
Recommended.

Never Forget: George W. Bush willfully violated National Security to cover-up his willful launch of a war of aggression and illegal occupation of Iraq.... and, if you doubt it, just check 'the google' ...

3. Don't criticize a major gaff. Just look the other way. Pay no attention.
Kerry is being criticized, not for attacking the troops which he didn't do, but for reminding many of us around here that he is politically "ham-handed" and has no business even thinking that he would be a 2008 front-runner.

8. Well, thank goodness he did NOT apologize
or say that he'd made a gaff before deciding he hadn't. Those independents who are leaning away from the war aren't offended and those are the only votes he should care about. The desperates trying to make a mountain out of this ant hill sure as hell won't change any undecided's mind over this itty bitty truth burst.

One good thing came of it, the local evening news actually carried something other than traffic accidents and played the portion of Kerry's speech where he bashed this administration's "war effort". They also played a clip of w banging a podium demanding an apology and, well, he didn't look or sound like someone who should get to speak to large groups. He was rumpled, hunched over, smiling and speaking in that condescending, simplistic way he has with his followers. I would so not want to have a beer with him.

10. Very true. However much Kerry boned it...

... the Republicans, I'm sure, we're most hoping for an apology or equivocation.

Kudos to Kerry for at least getting the response right.

edit: p.s. Although... I wish Kerry would have said, in his response, "if anybody thinks that a veteran would somehow criticize more than 140,000 troops serving in Iraq, and NOT the pResident and his people who put them there, they're crazy" -- or willfully ignorant.
