4. I'm still thinking our two best bets are Montana (Tester) & Penn (Casey)...
And I'd be incredibly hyped about Sherrod Brown in Ohio too, but I can't believe they allowed Ken Blackwell who is in CHARGE OF ELECTIONS to run the friggin' election in the homestate of Diebold..

I'm feeling pretty optomistic about Rhode Island too..

Missouri, Virginia and Tennessee... I can only HOPE..

5. PA, RI, MT, OH, MN, are pretty much in our column
would give the Dems control even without TN.

So, one of the three close races could fall (TN, VA, MO) and we would still have clear control.

Also, lately there have been some polls suggesting AZ is in play now too.

So we just need two of the 4 close races (TN, VA, MO, AZ)!

ODDS? 50/50 we retake the Senate.

6. Wait a minute..if your're going by the CNN poll dont believe it
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 08:24 AM by INdemo
Even internal polls of the Corker campaign indicate it a dead heat.
CNN polls are (likely to be push polls) from Republican data..
Other polls as shown are well within the margin of error..
There again if the samplings are less than 1000,well,they are just not that accurate..Zogby had an article about this some time ago,In fact it might be on his web page.

7. Do you have any evidence to back that up?
That CNN polls are "push polls from Republican data"

8. CNN is the only polls that shows Corker with a 8% lead
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 08:56 AM by INdemo
check out the CNN web site and see what they didnt tell us on the Blitzer show
Among registered voters the race is basically a dead heat
Now if you notice the sampling number on the poll showing the 8%
was around 500.
I think on the web site it also states "a larger sampling among registered voters" shows the race tied..or something like.
The push polls? RNC admitted that they were condicting their own polls.
It was discovered they were push polls..I think Rove all but admitted that on the NPR interview. Now if anyone would use that polling data on the air ..Well Blitzer would be the first to do so..
There might be an artile about this on the Daily Kos site(about the push polling)
Zogby had an article about polling on his web site some time ago(and it might still be there)
He said samplings less than 1000 just dont mean much but the media likes to use these minor samplings as entertainment.

Here is another site that explains my point

7." Look at the number polled. If fewer than 600 persons respond to a political poll, it may not merit your attention. The margin of error will be large enough that only big differences in opinion can be estimated."
