http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/nation/president/2004-10-20-heinz-kerry_x.htm Teresa Heinz Kerry apologizes for Laura Bush comment
WASHINGTON (AP) — Teresa Heinz Kerry told a newspaper she doesn't know if Laura Bush has ever had "a real job." She apologized Wednesday for having forgotten about the first lady's 10-year stint as a schoolteacher and librarian.
In an interview published Wednesday, USA TODAY asked the wife of Democratic candidate John Kerry if she would be different from Laura Bush as a first lady. (Related story: Interview with Heinz Kerry)
"Well, you know, I don't know Laura Bush. But she seems to be calm, and she has a sparkle in her eye, which is good," Heinz Kerry said. "But I don't know that she's ever had a real job — I mean, since she's been grown up. So her experience and her validation comes from important things, but different things."
OK, it's Teresa, but now that I got your attention...
For those who think John Kerry has something to apologize for, let's follow that to its logical conclusion. If that headline was true, KERRY APOLOGIZES would make Democrats more electable in what way?
NO WAY. Right?
So, if you're a Democrat and you want to win, you need to zip it right now and we can get back to the discussion after the election. I request we all move onto a topic that damages Republicans.

5. Funny... Unfortunately some of our own will read your headline |
|
only and start spreading the virus around that Kerry apologized-- after, of course they repeat only the one line phrase from the speech (out of context) that the RW media wants so badly for everyone to focus on. They won't listen to the original speech where clearly Bush was discussed before the offensive sentence, nor will they read the prepared text where the sentence itself clearly indicates that Kerry meant to say "like Bush..."
For some reason, I can't get Bruce Cockburn's song, "If I Had a Rocket Launcher," out of my head! Now, I wonder why that would be.... :eyes:

Wouldn't be trying to influence the outcome of an election, now would they?

9. Those whose main concern is |
|
not offending the reich-wingers cannot help themselves. Their political judgement is completely clouded by their fear of the right. Every move is designed to appeal to the enemy.
What they do not understand is this simple concept: No matter how far you stick your nose up the collect ass of the right they will treat you like the shit they scrape off their shoes after a session of tearing down opponent lawn-signs.
Don't believe me? Ask Hillary. Ask Stabenow. Two sell outs on many important votes who get attacked by Rethugs at every turn.

14. That matches my experience too. |
|
And that's why we should issue no apologies for anything they trump up.

15. So, you're not apologising because it won't help the Democratics, I trust |
|
An apology never helps get out the vote. Never.
