I must have missed something
Here I was watching an attempt at a serious debate, and watching the Labour Party display it's utter cowardice over Iraq. And all of a sudden, everyone's foaming at the mouth over a throwaway line by the junior Senator from Massachusetts. Did I miss the memo or something?

Will say this though: If you're gonna get your balls chewed off for a joke, at least don't make it a botched joke.

1. You missed nothing/I missed nothing
People are frothing at the mouth over jack squat. We do that a lot in this country. Froth over much ado about nothing, and over look things that should have us marching in the streets.

2. Y'know, that's the part that bugs me most, that he botched the joke.

6. He has the unfortunate habit, for a politician...
...of saying things that need to be explianed later.

3. Even if not "botched"... it wasn't very good.
why not say "if you study hard and do your homework, you can do some great things with your life, otherwise, you could find yourself as a Republican President."

5. Well what did you think would happen.???
Bush has his play shirt on, the tie in his pocket and is talking the 'country ' people talk and doing what he does do well. Run for some thing. GOP will use anything. I read that thing Kerry said as meaning the WH did not do the homework but it does not even get to me if I read it kids who do not study will end up there. Now one sees that in the mind set one thinks in. Plus as I have said before many people have never put the service on a very high class of jobs and GOP are very high in that. As a fact the IQ of service people is above the ave. Joe. And so is education but it is not what people think. Does any one see many of Bush's people who are in the service, person friends etc. Come on. Dem. know this and GOP need the service for their money so the service man is like the worker at the local mill.
