Kerry: Let's just shut up about it already, this is exactly what they want!
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 07:51 AM by originalpckelly
They manufactured a false piece of shit. I know I saw Kerry's words last night (Scarborough), when you see them in context it's a bunch of bullshit.

They are doing this to distract us and this country. And DU has fallen for their tricks once again, just like we all fell for "THE MATH" mind game.

Karl Rove is a semi-evil genius, but his dirty tricks and deception only work when we allow them to.

The only reason any of this shit is happening, is that we are close to defeating the evil empire in Washington, D.C. and they know it.

Just look at the huge shredding truck sent to the VP's house. That really probably was related to Cheney preparing for our takeover.

Don't let them fool us once again, to quote the President, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, won't get fooled again."

John Kerry should do what he has to to fix this, but DU we need to think about the important stuff.

Right now, men and women are dying in Iraq.

All this bullshit is a manufactured distraction from that horrible fact.

We owe it to them to fix or end this mistake in Iraq as soon as possible.

If the Republicans stay in power, their evil empire of corruption, hate, and torture will continue to grow, and America will surely die in that process.

Wake the fuck up already! And shut the fuck up about it! Get your ass up and out to the polls on Tuesday, November 7th.

1. I'm not letting you all get away with it...
we will not snatch defeat from the jaws of victory anymore.

The Republicans have openly stated their wish for us to be powerless over our own lives. "The Permanent Republican Majority", is the Final Solution of politics.

4. No, Karl Rove lied about and distorted what Kerry said
and whipped up his republican flying monkey machine over nothing.

To distract from the big failure that is President Bush and the Republicanss

--

Let me make it crystal clear, as crystal clear as I know how: I apologize to no one for my criticism of the president and of his broken policy.

If anyone owes our troops in the fields an apology, it is the President and his failed team and a Republican majority in the Congress that has been willing to stamp -- rubber-stamp policies that have done injury to our troops and to their families.

My statement yesterday -- and the White House knows this full well -- was a botched joke about the president and the president's people, not about the troops.

The White House's attempt to distort my true statement is a remarkable testament to their abject failure in making America safe. It's a stunning statement about their willingness to reduce anything in America to raw politics. It's their willingness to distort, their willingness to mislead Americans, their willingness to exploit the troops, as they have so many times at backdrops, at so many speeches at which they have not told the American people the truth.

22. Yes, because if they had all seen this in context...
they would have known this was no good. That it was a political and that there is another video out there with Kerry making a good joke on that idiot in the white house.

I just contacted this poster to see if they have the video. This is literally a political hit job on us. We all know what John said, but he said it in context and an entire auditorium of Democrats weren't offended by it.

7. Listen, I don't really like John Kerry very much anymore...
but we need to talk about the real things.

Which is more important, a clip taken out of context or a war in which people are dying?

14. I was just about to post exactly what you said!
I for one am moving on. JK said what he said, he forcefully rebutted Bush's criticism (which was good actually, altho we would have been better off if he had stuck to the messages that are clearly resonating instead of going off on a tricky joke).

Now, however, it is time to devote ourselves to the election of Democrats to the House and Senate. Period. Let's not be the ones to carry this on into another news cycle.

19. No, I don't think Kerry has done enough yet...
he needs to hold another press conference and show the media just exactly what happened. Let them see that John didn't actually say this.

We have to show the truth or the Republican's lies will continue on.

They are only doing this because last week Rush Limbaugh actually meant to attack a man with an incurable disease.

23. But let's not "protest too much" here!
This is a distraction. Keep on message, which has been proven to work. For Kerry to just keep slapping back at Bush is to get off the track. The voters need to hear our tried and true messages (which are the truth after all!)reinforced over and over again. This thing just throws shadows of doubt around and that is the LAST thing we want to happen right before millions of voters go into the voting booths.

Sorry, I couldn't disagree more. JK was right to make his forceful comeback. Time now for us to stop talking about it and go back to business.

5. I disagree
I don't think we need to shut up about it, what we need to do is speak louder against the republican spin. I am once again disheartened by a lot of Democrats who are falling in line with the republicans and supporting their spin of lies.

Because I think you need to read the post as well.

This is a totally manufactured piece of crap, and the other video proves it.

17. No, I read the whole thing
I agree with you on the "bullshit" call, but I think we need to call "bullshit", and call it loud. I just don't think we need to shut up about it and roll over, I think we need to speak louder about their crap.

18. I am about to call bullshit...
I am trying to get a copy of Senator Kerry's appearance to put up on YouTube.

I have a hunch that it will end this. I'm also going to contact the news media to try to get them to play that full video from now on when they talk about this story.

We can turn this bullshit against the Republicans yet. I wasn't as active in 2004, but this time I'm here and this isn't going to happen while I'm involved with our party.

In a moment I will call the Angelides campaign to ask them for the video, if I don't get a response from my e-mail.

However, A LOT of people just want John Kerry to shup up before he sinks us all.
As Imus begged him today to please, please stay away from Tenn. and Harold Ford.

9. the context for this story is totally different if you were at work all day yesterday
I was at work all day yesterday and I didn't hear about this story until I got home at 11. Then when I read about it I was like 'oh give me a break.'

This is nothing. It'll be in the news for 2 days and then something will happen to take our minds off of it. Just wait it out.

Nobody cares.

24. its a non story...they've got nothing if they need to make something out of this
ive been busy..i have absolutely no respect for the talking heads pundits enablers on tv...so if you're not paying attention to their nonsense.you realize this is media mania.. it will go away..the news out of iraq is outrageous..bechtel leaving because their contract expired..not because of a completed job..they got the money for three years to rebuild power, sewage, water..did they do it?..im guessing not, but they are leaving..know anyone who wants to replace them?...how failed does it get?..a record of votes indicate who supports the troops...what one says and does are two different things...dont get sucked in..waste of time...

15. I'm going to try to get the full video of the time when Kerry was speaking...
from the Angelides crew. That way people will hear about it with what really happened. I know that this was a joke about Bush and the Republicans took it out of context, the only way to stop that is simply to show the truth. Which is what Kerry should have done, he should have showed the first few minutes of his appearance to demonstrate he was really talking about Bush.

The truth will set us free.
