Something we all have to come to terms with...
If America is fooled into honestly voting for the republican ticket than they deserve what they get. We cannot make people pay attention and we cannot explain things to people who are not reasonable.

If the election is stolen and we don't march in D.C. then we deserve to be represented by these despicable human beings. We can't make people stand up for themselves.

I for one believe that I have done just about all I can for the love of this country and for my children's future. I believe that we all have done more than many Americans. We have to take a deep breath and hope for the best.

I am going to my 9th grader's conferences today and realize that this nation is a child still. I can't make my son do his homework or pay attention in class. I can encourage him and try to help him make the connection between school and the rest of his life but I cannot do it for him.

The same is true for this nation. We cannot make Americans act responsibly or make the connection between the politicians and their own livelihood. We can keep trying and we will, God knows we will. But as a good citizen and as a good mother I have to come to terms with the fact that I can't make people do what is in their best interest. They have to do that for themselves.

Not an easy task. The hardest part is that we are not asking much. Just pay attention and do your homework.

1. Totally Agree; I said something similiar in a reply to a thread
but you said it much better.

I said, if people change their mind based on a botched joke, if they can ignore what is really important and flip on a dime for a botched joke, then we've already lost.

I hate to say this but maybe things have to get worse, God help us all, before Americans get their heads out of their you know whats!!

The question is how much worse can it get and can we survive it,whatever it is?

3. America will not be fooled
This Kerry business is exactly what it appears to be...
more repug-piling and deceptive hype. It's an unfortunate
non-story that has already played out as far as it will go...
unless republicans truly want to discuss their mess in Iraq.
Sure it may bounce a few more times but it ain't
swinging anyone's vote. We're in the home stretch..
keep hammering these crooks and GOTV !!!

6. If the vote is accurate and true and they vote for the SOB's then your correct
But the pukes could steal it again and with the help of the media it will be covered up and it will look like the public voted for the pukes and we are screwed.

8. When neocon political ads are ALLOWED to run with COMPLETELY.........
false accusations along with sound bites that are taken out of context and given a completely different meaning than the originators ACTUAL speech, interview or conversation. it is NO WONDER to me why elections turn out with the rethugs stealing the political offices. The neocon machine runs on lies, fabrications, deceptions, bait-and-switch and pure fraud; unfortunately a large segment of the American people take fox news and the neocon political ads as 'gospel truth' without doing ANY fact checking. 'WE' can NEVER do enough to combat the neocon foe and MUST CONTINUE the political fight until enough Americans feel the pain and are ready to do SOMETHING about IT.
